COLORADO STATE FAIR RECAP

We are incredibly proud of the eight horses we took with us - they all handled the craziness of a state fair situation remarkably well.

And a few added to their earnings!

Cats Like Butter (Lemon Drop) is $1200 richer.
Hes Crazy Quick (Taco) and Outn The Boondocs (Greta) both added another $800 each to their LTE.

Quanahs Lady owned by Anthony and Patty Even won her first check, as did Miss Quicken Graceful (Grace -1 of our 2022's) in the Level 1 Open Futurity.

As always, lots of work to do now that we are home after that marathon, but all in all, it was a successful mission!

I gave up waiting for the outdoor arena to dry up and for the cattle guy to call me back, so I could rent fresh cattle for his videos.

So here's BET HES CAJUN (2019 AQHA Chestnut gelding x Bob Hes Quick (Bet Hesa Cat) out of Kikiquejana (Quejanaisalena)) working a well-used shocker heifer and looking surprisingly happy to do it, but that's him.

He would work a rabid jackrabbit in the pasture if you asked.

This gelding is drastically underpriced for what he is and the training time that has been put into him. Jason doesn't want to go to hauling and showing him in the bridle this late in the season - messing up a big show year for someone else next year.

Never been shown in the bridle, making him 2-Rein eligible in 2026!!!

His happy surfer dude personality will make you smile, and so will the checks he wins for you. He reins with the best and can work any bovine (bunny, buff, or beast).
