On Monday, May 11, I saw a horse posted on Sexton’s Horse & Mule Company and knew in my heart I needed him right then. He looked so scared in the videos and lost. His name is Bucky and he has a major deformity.
I paid for him and was told I needed to come get him asap because he was alittle sickly and they were getting alot of negative comments on him, despite them actually trying to help find him a home by posting him.
I asked my best friend Cheltzie and her husband Austin C&C Livestock to go on a rescue mission to get my boy for me and of course, they said yes.
Bucky is now safe and sound in quarantine at our Sanctuary. He will be seen by the vet in the next few days and we will run all the testing needed and have xrays done to determine if he's in pain and go from there. He will also be gelded asap! Despite Bucky being sick right now just from being shipped around, he is actually super friendly and gets around great. I know alot of people are concerned about him and that's understandable but please know I am taking and will take ever measure to ensure he's happy and gets the care he needs to live a good long life here at my Sanctuary. If the vet says he is in pain and needs the final act of kindness, I will not hesitate to make that call for him since no one else did. However, I want to think positive and believe that he is just a special boy that needs a second chance and how blessed am I to be able to be his person from now on out!
Thank you to Anything Animal
for offering money towards his transport.
Thank you to everyone who has followed the page from C&C Livestock’s post, I'm grateful you're here and I will post an update on Bucky asap!
Please keep your negativity to yourself, I’m just a girl wanting to give this horse & many others a good life with what means I can offer. 🩵
