I love doing new, unique settings. The color wall at Traverse mountain gave everyone the opportunity to choose their own color for their picture. In my experience, kids love being a part of making decisions, and are much happier when it’s their turn if they get to choose their background.

Turning a photo black and white can really make such a difference on the impact of the portrait. Ironically, despite there being less “information” in the photo, it can add a lot of depth, and clarity.

Totally brand new.

Babies are so funny. There’s a bit of a rush sometimes to get their newborn photos done in the first week or two, only to have them look so completely different after another week or two. But you HAVE to capture those early days, for that very reason.

When lunch or dinner is wedding food, it’s a good day. Honestly even if it’s just desserts. While I usually prioritize eating other desserts before cupcakes (unless they’re chocolate), it’s hard to deny cupcakes are some of the prettiest treats on the dessert table.

A tiny bunny petting zoo is one of the most unique things I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Everyone was talking about it, and it was fun for all ages. It provided some FANTASTIC photo opportunities. Bunnies are also a personal favorite of the bride, so it worked perfectly.
