I specialize in caring for only a small number of dogs at a time in order to provide my undivided attention and energy to your pup. So about me and my services...
I've cared for my dogs and pets for the majority of my life, and my experience is with all types of personalities and dispositions. I appreciate and respect the needs of our canine family members, and will care for them as my own when t
hey are with me. I am observant and diligent in my efforts to provide a loving and positive environment for all of them. Something to also know about me is that I incorporate consistent training with all my guests. My kitchen is strictly off limits to all my pets, so I provide frequent reinforcement of this rule through positive and reliable (treat and/or verbal) reinforcement. What's nice is my guests soon learn it's right at the edge of the kitchen where a treat may be in store. ;)
When it comes to aggressive and rough play, I am careful not to ever let this escalate to a point of discomfort or hyper activity for both dogs and humans. I take this seriously as it's important for there to be reasonable boundaries and safety measures in place for your pups. There will be lots of ball, tug of war, and head scratches, but I leave wrestling up to the WWF. What's wonderful is that I live right around 3 adjacent lakes totaling about 2 miles of walking opportunities. This is an optimal way for your canines to release energy, get great exercise, and enjoy the fresh air! If ticks are an issue, I also live on a mile long circle where we can enjoy pavement away from tall grasses and water, if necessary. I have a garden level entry right to the back yard and lake, so stairs are never an issue for small, young, or senior dogs. If your pet enjoys the sun, my home has 31 windows, a light and bright play room JUST FOR THEM, and a "sunning deck" for your dog's enjoyment. :) I also have a big shady tree on the side of my house, so if it's nice out, we can enjoy the fresh air and plenty of cool spots to relax, watch the leaves blow, and sniff whatever it is our puppies are always sniffing. ;) Please know I'm always ready and happy to help your dogs spend their energy in fun and enjoyable ways. One thing that may be unique about me is that I am a conscientious canine leader and strive to keep a calm balance on walks and all interactions (human and otherwise). I don't ask my canines to lead me around the block; rather, I take that stress and burden from them and allow them to just enjoy the view by my side. This not only provides positive discipline and a bonding experience, but also lets them know they can trust me to take care of them. Your dog will enjoy a 10-15 minute morning and afternoon walk and and 2 additional potty breaks. If your dog has additional needs, just let me know. Weather is a factor, so if it's extremely hot or wet, times may vary for that sake of your dog's comfort and well-being. We are a dog-loving family, and we each take pride in making sure your dog is content and loved from drop-off to pick-up. A few extra notes:
I'd like to know about any medical conditions and food allergies. I offer healthy all natural home-made pumpkin peanut butter treats for my customers, but only with the owner's approval. I respect owner's wishes and needs for consistency. Secondly, I'd like to know if your dog has any triggers or aggressive behaviors with other animals/dogs. For example, does your go bananas for rabbits or squirrels? Do they feel insecure around large dogs? This is really important for me so that I can keep your pet family member safe and feeling good. Finally, is your dog accident prone in certain situations? I know all dogs feel embarrassed when this happens, so I'd like to do all I can to prevent this from occurring.
