Ok, Sugar, here is what happened. There was a lady who had you who needed to find you a home when you were 7 months old. We just happened to visit a neighbor who was friends with that lady. You also just happened to be there, too.
After a bit of discussion, she decided you would be happy with us (we do own a dog treat bakery, after all.) The rest is history. Just know we love you very much and are thankful you are part of our family.

Unrelated to the bakery....my tomato plants are starting to sprout like crazy. I cannot wait for the weather to get better and to be able to get my garden started.
For you cat folks, you all will be happy to learn that all of the heritage catnip plants my friend from Toigo Orchards gave me last year have come up again. This catnip has been growing at her farm for years and it seems that mine are coming back this year as well. We will have dried catnip around July or so.

In the 1900s, dogs were not only a man's best friend, but they were also store owners' night security guards. Major stores like Macy's in New York "employed" dogs to keep their merchandise safe. Did you know that Chase Your Tail Bakery also grows catnip at our farm in Leesburg? Yup...that's right...the GOOD stuff.
We don't have to heat it up or pasteurize it since it is for animal use so it doesn't lose any potency.
We should have some available at both the Leesburg and Falls Church markets shortly. It is just finishing up getting completely dried out and packaged for sale.
And you thought we only took care of canines! HA!
