Just a heads up for Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9, which is Easter Sunday, we will be having our 2nd annual Spring event! We will have fun treats for the dogs and a photo backdrop and costumes for making memories. This was a huge hit last year. This is YOUR OWN PRIVATE rental with no other dogs there!! ❤️❤️

On the Thursday before that weekend, we will open up Saturday to the general public; Saturdays are usually members only.

Update: our live video for the egg count for our beautiful Sebastopol female geese sitting on their nests will be at 12 noon in about 30 minutes.  The first video was too shaky and I did not get an accurate egg count. This time, I will put all geese outside of the garage, in the pen, while I count their eggs. Hope to see you then 🙂

Such a surprise to see both JLo and Nicki Minaj in the nesting area. Brown Chinese goose Prince stands guard inside, and the real force to be reckoned with, Axl Rose, stands guard outside ❤️.  Nicky has been sitting on the nest and started incubating a few days ago so I’m unable to get a final count. It may very well be that J Lo is still laying eggs and Nicky is pushing them into her nest as she lays them.

Nest update: 14 eggs and we’re not sure if they are still laying or not. 

So far it looks like J Lo is the one sitting and the spray painted one Nicki Minaj has been outside most of the time. We’re hoping to catch Nicki on the nest again lay laying more eggs soon 🙂. My shoe is there to show the size of the eggs. And I have a big foot 😂

Aha!!!! BUSTED!!! We spray-painted Nicki Minaj to see if she ever sat on the nest that shy JLo has been laying eggs in. Tada!!! They are both laying eggs in the same nest!! This could have 20 or more eggs by the times they’re done. And there’s plenty of room for individual nests but that’s not happening. Eggs are still covered up and cold so stay tuned!!!

I thought we had 12 but it looks like we have 11 eggs and she’s not done yet. These were covered up and cold. She will continue to lay eggs and only lay on them and incubate once the full clutch is laid.  We have spray-painted the female head on one of the white Sebastopol‘s, to see if they are both taking turns on sitting and laying eggs.

So I would like to introduce you all to my domestic geese. All named after rock stars.  Axl Rose is the gray and white one that is very protective. The two white ones, J Lo, and Nicki Minaj (for their fluffy butts) are currently laying eggs - at least one of them is. The dark one is Prince, and he is a little more laid-back than Axl Rose. 

We will soon be putting signs out on the pen with descriptions of each one of them.  We have doubled the size of their pen which they go into at night and have access to 24/7. Currently we have five eggs. Fingers crossed for a clutch of goslings in about a month or so! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

So now I know why the mottled gray male, Axl Rose has been so cranky lately. One of his girls has been laying eggs and he is super protective which I really appreciate. I hope to report in 28 to 35 days that we have a new family 🙂 

So for now, the gate stays open between the two pens so she has access to her nest. ❤️❤️❤️

A good time was had by all today at this 30+ acre private dog park that we got to hike and test our dogs on on not running after wildlife. All got an A+!

Happy New Year!!

In light of the recent influenza/kennel cough outbreaks in dogs, my vet has advised me to have vaccine records on all my clients. I train and sell Border collies here for humane Canada goose control, as well as having my own local goose control company, so I cannot afford to have any down time for my working dogs, and I want to make sure all of your pups stay safe and healthy as well.

These records need to have current vaccines for:

Parvo
Distemper
Rabies
Bordatella
Influenza
Parainfluenza (usually combined with distemper)

In addition for 2023, based on feedback, I have recently added some agility equipment that I feel is low-injury: an adjustable A-frame wall, a 10-foot nylon tunnel and a breakaway tire jump. These items are included in your price. Guest dog Chester and my dogs are modeling it below for you.
