🐾 **HAPPY ADOPTION ALERT — THE OFFICIAL END OF THE PUPPY ERA** 🐾
If you’ve followed Fishy’s Friends Rescue for any length of time, then you probably remember **the puppy flood**.
Thirty dogs.
At once.
With **three fosters**.
You heard about the Disneys. You heard about the Bridgertons. You watched their stories unfold from tiny, fragile babies into big, beautiful dogs. You celebrated as one by one they packed their imaginary little suitcases and headed off to forever.
And then there were three.
**Simba. Alfie. Archie.**
Simba — the last Disney.
Alfie and Archie — the last two Bridgertons.
Three puppies left behind from one of the craziest, most exhausting, most beautiful chapters this rescue has ever lived through.
And for some reason, every time we tried to imagine them leaving...
It just didn't feel right.
We told ourselves we were still deciding.
We talked about adopting them out.
We tried to convince ourselves that eventually the right family would come along and we'd know it was time.
But somewhere deep down, we think we always knew.
**They weren't waiting for their families.**
They were already home.
And that's pretty funny considering neither one of us EVER planned to keep puppies after this experience. 😂 Raising this many babies at once nearly took us BOTH out. There were sleepless nights, endless vaccines, mountains of food, puppy messes we would rather forget, medical appointments, worry, tears, laughter and days when we genuinely wondered how in the world we were going to get everyone through.
We remember these three when they were barely more than **a pound in our hands.**
And now?
Our “little babies” are somewhere between **65 and 75 pounds.**
Somewhere along the way, the tiny puppies we were desperately trying to save became the giant dogs sleeping in our homes.
We raised them while waiting for their lives to begin.
We just didn't realize...
**their forever had already begun with us.**
So today, we're finally making official what our hearts apparently decided a long time ago.
❤️ **SIMBA IS HOME.**
❤️ **ALFIE IS HOME.**
❤️ **ARCHIE IS HOME.**
No more applications.
No more wondering.
No more “maybe someday.”
These three are officially, permanently, ridiculously, **oFISHally HOME.**
And with their adoptions, something else becomes official too.
**The puppy era is over.**
Every Disney has a family.
Every Bridgerton has a family.
Every tiny life from that overwhelming puppy flood that once had us wondering how we could possibly save them all has reached the other side.
We did it.
Thirty dogs.
Three fosters.
A whole lot of sleepless nights.
And somehow, three little pieces of that chapter decided they weren't going anywhere.
Simba, Alfie and Archie — we remember when we could hold your entire little bodies in our hands.
Now we can barely get you off the couch. 😂
We thought our job was to raise you until your families found you.
Turns out, **you were busy growing into ours.**
Here's to forever, Disney.
Here's to forever, Bridgertons.
And here's to the three babies who quietly made sure that when this chapter finally closed...
