Our tiny potatoes are starting to blink their way into the world! Born December 9th, their little eyes are opening, their bellies are getting round, and their personalities are just beginning to peep through.

In preparation for the big “paws up, world!” moment, we’re getting ahead of the game and looking for dedicated fosters who can welcome them once they’re weaned, vaccinated, and ready to toddle into loving homes.

If you’ve ever wanted to be the warm lap, the midnight cuddler, or the hero who helps shape a pup’s very first chapter… now’s the time.

From skin and bones… to spoiled and snoring.
From cold floors and empty bowls… to a heated bed, full belly, and her very own Christmas stocking.

Our little Weiner Warrior—who once stood on the brink of death, fragile, tired, and barely hanging on—has officially been adopted into her forever Vienna sausage life. And oh my heart… what a life it is. 💔➡️❤️

There was a time we didn’t know if she would make it. Her body was weak, her eyes told stories no dog should ever have to tell, and yet… she kept fighting. Tiny paws. Massive courage. The fiercest little soul packed into the smallest body.

And now?
Now she’s warm.
Now she’s safe.
Now she has a family who sees her not as a rescue—but as treasure.
A heated bed for her tired old bones.
A Christmas stocking with her name on it.
A home where love is endless and food is never scarce.

This is why we do it.
This is why we lose sleep.
This is why we cry, beg, hustle, and keep going even when it hurts.

Because sometimes…
a dog who once had nothing ends up with everything.

Run free, sweet girl. Wiggle that sausage body with pride. You earned every cozy nap, every treat, every ounce of love. 🎄🐶💕

🚨 Foster Needed for Teddy — Urgent Plea 🚨
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for immediate foster placement for Teddy.
Teddy is being returned through no fault of his own. He has completed extensive training, learned excellent manners, and did everything that was asked of him. Unfortunately, his adopter’s lifestyle has changed, and instead of continuing the training and structure that was promised, Teddy began spending most of his time outside. Without the engagement and supervision he needs, he escaped the yard a few times—something we were never notified about until now.
As always, we stand by our commitment: Fishy’s Friends Rescue will take our dogs back—no matter what. That is written into our legally binding adoption contract. However, responsible returns require communication and cooperation to create a safe, planned transition. A “hard return” with no notice is not always immediately possible in foster-based rescue, and we rely on teamwork to make it work.
Here is our current reality over the next two weeks:
• 29 animals under active care
• 11 nursing puppies with their mom
• 4 foster cats
• 5 personal dogs
• 4 goats
• An additional foster household with 4 dogs
• Two households to manage
• And time away from our family during the holidays
This is a season of enormous sacrifice, and while Teddy’s adopter has agreed to keep him through the holidays, they have declined to assist with adoption events or placement efforts. That leaves us with very limited time and capacity to secure a safe landing for Teddy before his return deadline.
So this is our last plea.
👉 Teddy needs a foster home.
He is trained, knows structure, and simply needs a family willing to keep him inside, engaged, and included. He does best with routine and human connection—he is not a backyard dog.
If you have ever considered fostering, this is the moment Teddy needs you most. A foster steps in when life changes, when humans fail, and when a good dog deserves better.
