Pets & Pals

Pets&Pals is a nonprofit adoption center dedicated to the welfare and humane treatment of animals This is not your typical shelter.

We sit on a few acres of landscaped, manicured land that houses state of the art dog kennels that are complete with heated floors. Dogs can choose to be on the inside or outside sections of their large, open kennels. There are four play yards that our guests enjoy on a daily basis (two of which even have pools!), and the dogs are treated with attention, chew toys, blankets, and treats. Their runs

are always kept as clean as possible. Our feline residents enjoy a "kitten room" for the rambunctious babies, and large indoor/outdoor cat houses that have heating and air for our "older" kitties. We are open by appointment if you see something you like.

Meet Austin! 🧡

Austin has been at the shelter for 108 days. He is a precious puppy with a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Sadly, he was left in a crate with only a bowl of water. This little trooper was rescued by compassionate individuals who brought him to us in hopes of finding him his perfect home. He was in a home briefly and was excited to become a permanent part of the family, but unfortunately the resident dog in the home did not want a new sibling and was not welcoming to poor Austin. We’re told Austin is great with kids aged 9 and up. He loves to play with other dogs and loves to splash in the water. Just look at these cuties ready for Halloween!🎃 These sweet little guys were born on 7/1/25. They are Chihuahua mixes who are sooo friendly with everyone they meet. Meet Ghost! 👻

This sweetie pie is a wonderful little pitbull mix. Sadly, he was found as a stray, but you’d never guess it from his loving nature. He has been at our shelter for 90 days. Hes very affectionate and gentle with the shelter staff, he’s always ready for cuddles and companionship. He goes out with other dogs his size every day and loves to play. He splashes right through the doggie pools and loves to hang out in the water. After he’s done playing, he’s a calm boy who walks well on the leash, so someone had put a bit of work into his training before he arrived with us. Meet Max! 🐾

Max is a fun, active boy. He is only about a year old and weighs 24 pounds, so he is a very manageable size. He enjoys running and playing with toys, he gets along with other dogs. His breed is likely mixed, but he has the look of a small Heeler while long, flowing hair (see his ungroomed coat). He was briefly in a home, and they said he was very close to being potty-trained. Meet Taco! 🌮

Taco is a 17-pound Spaniel mix, approximately 2-3 years old, who is looking for a forever home! This sweet boy is a professional cuddler who believes every lap is an invitation to snuggle. His favorite place in the world is right by your side. Taco was found as a stray and, unfortunately, his finders were unable to keep him, and his original owners were never located. Meet Daisy Mae! 🌼

Daisy is a 41-pound mixed breed, but based on her flattened face and pointy ears, we think she has a good bit of Frenchie or some other kind of Bulldog in her. There’s no way to know the whole mix though - this sweet mama came to us after her previous owners moved out and left her and her four puppies behind. Despite her past, Daisy Mae is full of love and ready to find her forever home. She’s proven to be a wonderful mother and has a gentle and loving nature. All of her puppies have been adopted so now she’s patiently waiting for her turn. Her unique markings and adorable face will melt your heart! Snickers is ready to bring her sweet and chatty personality into your life! This gorgeous 1-year-old calico girl is a real gem. Snickers is incredibly affectionate and enjoys cuddling and receiving attention. Due to no fault of her own (landlord found out about her), she is in need of a loving new home. Meet Bambi! 🦌

Bambi is a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 16 pounds. While his exact breed mix is unknown, his build closely resembles that of a Basenji.

This sweet and sensitive pup is looking for a loving forever home after being surrendered due to housing restrictions. Bambi enjoys the company of other small dogs and loves to play. He is still working on potty training and leash manners, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, he is sure to continue making progress. His previous owner shared that he rides calmly in the car, making him a great travel companion.

Because the shelter environment has been stressful for him, we’re eager to see Bambi find a home where he can relax, gain confidence, and return to his happy, playful self.
