Important Update from the Rattery 💜🐀

After some careful thought and reflection, I’ve made the decision to reduce the number of breeders in my program. This wasn’t an easy choice—these rats are incredibly important to me—but it’s one I’ve come to with a clearer perspective after recently falling ill. That experience made me realize how much I had taken on, and that in times of hardship, a smaller, more manageable colony is truly the most responsible and sustainable option.

As part of this shift, I will be rehoming some of my beloved bucks and does. These are not “leftovers” or afterthoughts—each of them is special and has been raised with care. I’m looking for homes that are not only loving but also informative. I need health updates.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been sick for a little while and have been doing my best to find some real answers. I finally made it to my main practitioner, and we’re moving forward with a breath test to check for certain infections. Hopefully this helps us figure out if what I’ve been dealing with is something lingering that’s still affecting my ability to eat properly.

Right now, there are just some things I can’t tolerate—beef being one of them, which I really miss. It’s been tough not being able to enjoy my favorite foods, but I’m honestly feeling more hopeful. I truly believe I’m getting better and slowly getting back on my feet.

It’s going to take a little more time, care, and patience—not just for myself, but for my animals too. Thanks to everyone who’s been checking in or thinking of me. I’m on the road to recovery.
