An update for everyone who has been anxiously waiting for news about Lacey’s puppies. After a recent checkup it appears that Lacey is not expecting a litter.
Unfortunately this happens more often than you think, and as hard as we try it’s never promised.
This is especially emotional for us because this was going to be Lacey’s final breeding. After much thought, we feel that retiring her is the healthiest and best decision for her moving forward, she will be 6 in July so it is time to close this chapter for her.
My hearts aches knowing how many wonderful families especially so many of our returning Gore Doodle Ranch families were excited to add another puppy to your homes. I truly cannot express how much it means to me that you have loved your first puppies enough to come back to us again. That trust and connection means the world to me.
While we are disappointed, and we are also incredibly grateful for all of the love, support, excitement, and prayers surrounding this hoped-for litter AND all of our beautiful pups that you have given loving, happy homes to. Lacey will continue being spoiled and loved with us in her retirement…exactly as she deserves.
Thank you all for understanding and for being such an important part of the Gore Doodle Ranch family. 🤍

It’s been a little quiet around here this past year, and for good reason 🤍

Life has kept us busy…moving our son to college, traveling for his football games, our first grandchild, our daughter’s wedding right around the corner and walking through some family health challenges. As much as we love raising puppies, we also believe in waiting for the right time… for our family and for our dogs.

And now, we’re so excited to share that the time may finally be here 🐾

Lacey has been bred to Tormund, and we are eagerly awaiting her ultrasound on April 27th to confirm a possible litter!

This will also be Lacey’s final litter before her well-deserved retirement 🤍

If all goes as planned, we are expecting puppies at the end of May, with go-home time at the end of July.

Thank you for sticking with us, supporting our little ranch, and loving our pups as much as we do. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you!
