📋 Miss Flowers blood & urine results came back within normal limits last week!! Although she’s starting to have some vision/hearing issues, and her blood pressure is still a little high, she’s doing fantastic! We’ve got some meds adjusted and will get her back in for another recheck in 3-6 months.

💐Miss Flower (and her sissy, Lily) are still looking for their forever home!

.. I started writing this in the middle of moving from 1 storage unit to another.. and as hesitant as I am, I’m also (yes-literally) sweating in relief. Mostly because I’ve been holding onto this s**t for way too long.

When I started this rescue 2.5 years ago, it was freshly after leaving the veterinary field and I thought I knew how to do it ALL. Better than anyone. And duh- all by myself. Delulu princess. But I did do okay in the beginning! I was married, in my own home and able to freely foster! I had a cottage installed for extra boarding space and now I’m divorced in a 1 bedroom apartment. It’s not the same.

It’s also no secret that I loathe any and all “admin responsibility”, (especially after working my regular 65+hr weeks)- that no one else cares about.

I’ve always “done it for the dogs” but definitely got chewed up by some humans along the way. And I promise you- rescue isnt for the faint hearted. Especially if you already struggle with mental health disorders or addictions. (TAKE CARE OF YOU FIRST, PLEASE); because personally, I canNOT possibly or successfully do it without doing that. And I’ve GOT to stop apologizing for doing so.🤠

Because of all of you, our raffles, silent auction, Cornish pasty and our online campaign, we raised just over $900!! 💐 Flower and Lily made their debut adoption appearances and LOVED getting to meet everyone. (They’re still pooped!)

I’m extremely grateful to the hilarious and big-hearted comedians (+ my 🔥FAVES) who took time out of their busy schedules to perform at our comedy fundraiser a few nights ago. Thank you for reminding us how powerful & important comedy is. 🎭💛🐾

👀 Look who we recently got to hang with!.. IT’S THE GABEY BABY, GABRIEL!💓 Our flower power girls throughly enjoyed getting to meet 1 of the boy versions of them, too!

We saved Gabriel from the San Bernadino shelter 2 years ago.. He was adopted 6 months later by the bestest mama! We’re so grateful we get to keep in touch and visit with our most special furiends after all this time!

💚 We love you, Gabey, & your mommy!!

🎰 Mr. Jackpot hasn’t blessed our feeds with his presence in a while, sooo.. HERE HIMS IS!! Still tiny. Still adorable. Still mighty. Still the sweetest. Still a soldier boy. He’s has been living his best life with his fospice mama and the foster sibs!

J.P’s favorite hobbies still include being pampered, napping, being carried around, and being THEE star.🌟
Jackpot also hit the lottery this week by getting a little staycation with our friends while mama travels!
