Everyone should remember when we launched the goal was to fix fences and Gates and help owners keep their pets. There were three owner surrender dogs that were already in the Las Cruces shelter and we really felt like the family could get some help from us and take their dogs back because it was clear that they loved him they had all of them fixed and vaccinated. We received a wonderful volunteer who went out to their home and looked at all of the fencing and was starting to put together a plan when disaster struck for the family. They now are not able to take the dogs back as much as they love them because a family member will need round the clock care. So now we come to you as the community and offer these wonderful dogs in hopes that you can help us get them to the next best home. Please like and share. They are safely in Foster and up-to-date videos will be available and meet and greets are possible. Each of them have met cats on video and it has gone very well enough to feel comfortable that they could live in the home with cats and children.

This program was created to help keep pets in their homes. We are in the early stages but we really need help right now with pets who have already been turned into the shelter and they need heartworm treatment which is fully covered by a generous donor. We have two days left to save five dogs. You can adopt for no fee and have their medical covered fully or you can foster for a rescue which will also help with food and supplies. Please don't look the other way if you really want change in Las Cruces we can only do this by pulling together. Call the shelter or put a message below and let us know that you are willing to be part of the solution and we will connect you with rescues or the shelter to help a dog of your choice.

These dogs really need your help. Rescues are willing to tag but they need fosters. The medical treatment is fully covered. All the dogs are dog friendly. Let's stand together as a community and get fosters or adopters. This could be the first time that the entire list makes it out alive if we all work together.

We are making quiet progress. Yesterday a contact was brought to our attention who works in the area of graphic arts and web development. We gave her our wish list and now we will give her time to work her magic so that we have a single point beyond social media where you can register owners that need help and join projects that interest you. If we can keep 30% of the owner surrenders out of the shelter that is a cost avoidance of approximately 180,000 which would be a savings to the community.
