Cold weather is on the way!❄️🐾

As freezing temperatures approach Laredo this weekend, we encourage everyone to bring pets indoors if possible. If they must remain outdoors please check on them frequently, even short exposure to cold can pose serious risks.

Please stay safe, stay warm, and hold your furry family members a little closer this weekend!♥️

Keep in mind that straw stays warm and dry, whereas blankets and pillows absorb moisture and quickly become cold for strays. If you’re creating a makeshift shelter for animals in your area, be sure to use straw (NOT hay) it can make a life-saving difference during the winter months!
Attached is a video on how to make a simple shelter. Please be mindful of where you place shelters. Choose a safe, quiet spot on your property where they won’t be disturbed or harmed by other animals or people. Thank you for helping keep some strays safe and warm!♥️🐾
