It's been a while.... Here's an update on our mare "Be Smart Metallic"

"Dually" has officially earned her mark in our herd. She now totes the F Broken Arrow on her left hip as a sign of permanence, quality, and love.

She's continued to grow, learn, and make us laugh. Her red mare attitude is in full bloom and we love it. She's coming along nicely and will be getting some cow time this year.

We are excited to focus on progressing her training this year while other plans have been put on hold.

It's been a while... Here's some updates on our mare "Frosted Scooter 16"

First, a very dry and mild winter has created many challenges for the upcoming year(s). Farmers are struggling to get hay crops growing with minimal water available. Ranchers are having to supplement with hay much later into the year because pastures havent seen enough moisture to grow, some are even forced to sell cattle to combat the lack of grass available.

World chaos has skyrocketed costs of everything from fuel to fertilizer. A bag of grain that used to be $20 is now $45. Supplements that used to be $70 are now $120. Shipping costs/times are also outrageous. Owning horses has never been cheap, but now it's flat out expensive.

Due to all of these combinations, we've made the heartbreaking decision to put our breeding plans for "Frost" on pause. We want to do this right. We want to maintain our high standards, not lower them just to be able to meet a goal.

We are blessed to have the mares we have, the farmer supplying the highest quality hay for our girls, the vets and farrier keeping our girls happy and healthy, and of course we are blessed to be able to have a safe place for them to live. That is the foundation of this dream, and without it, nothing else would be possible.

While we don't know what the future holds, we know we are doing what's best for our girls especially during these hard times. We'll keep dreaming and working towards the future of our business.

2025 has come to an end. We've been taking this year to learn, adapt, and grow. And while we have been somewhat silent on social media, the progress speaks volumes. Between clinics with world renowned horsemen, helping other young businesses grow, and of course with blood, sweat, and tears, we've gained so much from 2025.

"Be Smart Metallic" has been in training and is looking very, very promising. She's smart, gritty, and powerful. We are looking forward to her continued growth and knowledge and can't wait for her show debut.

"Frosted Scooter 16" has been maintaining her role as the Queen. She's had this year to relax as we got the girls settled into a permanent (dream) home that will be perfect for Frost and her foal. Now that we're settled, we can't wait for her date with Cat San Boon in 2026. The future is bright.

We are forever grateful for our mares, our amazing breeding and veterinary team, and most importantly, our family and friends who believe in us as a first generation operation at it's beginning.

Here's to growth, passion, and humility for 2026.
