I decided to start Help at Home Pet Care because from working in the field I have seen just how often pets need extra help at home. I was surprised to find that there aren’t many resources available to pet owners seeking home nursing services for their pets or services provided by a Certified Veterinary Technician.

When a pet is diagnosed with a chronic or even an acute illness they are often prescribed a list of medications or must visit the vets office weekly or even multiple times a week for fluids, bandage changes, or injections (just to name a few) that the pet owner may not be comfortable doing at home by themselves.

These are just a few examples of services that you can absolutely perform in your home!

Nervous and elderly pets especially benefit from less exposure to an environment that may be stressful to them.

Pets who are dealing with certain chronic diseases also especially benefit from reducing their stress as much as possible because these stress hormones (or cortisol) being released in their body can negatively impact or worsen their illness.

Help at home pet care also provides standard maintenance services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and internal a**l gland expression. It can be a hassle to bring your pet in for their regular maintenance care and even more so if they are nervous travelers or become nervous/fearful at the vets office.

With these services being provided in the home you have the opportunity to be more involved with your pets care which can also deepen your understanding of the care they are receiving. 🐶🐱🏡
