Each week, our amazing team picks one dog who’s captured their hearts in a big way – and this week’s staff favorite is… Adirondack! 🐾💖

🎂 Age: 1 year 10 months old
🐕 Breed: Medium mixed breed

Adiron is a total ray of sunshine! Despite more than 10 months at the shelter, Adiron is still an outgoing and happy pup with so much love to give. We can’t understand why this boy has been passed up time and time again, he has tons of potential! Adiron loves people and has never met a stranger, he enjoys meeting new people and making new friends everywhere he goes. He has done well with young children at the shelter, and would thrive in a family that needs a playful companion!

Adiron appears to be potty trained, walks well on leash, and knows some other basic skills like “sit”. He is very food motivated, which makes future training easy! He is unsure of other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He is still a young and moderately energetic guy, but he is always ready for some lazy snuggles too!

With more than half his left spent in the confines of the shelter, Adiron is more than ready to find his furever family and see all the world has to offer. He loves adventure!

Emergencies can happen when we least expect them, so this month, we’re helping pet parents get ready, just in case. A little planning today can keep your furry family safe tomorrow.

Here are a few quick ways to prepare:
• Make a pet emergency kit (food, meds, leash, copies of vet records)
• Ensure your pet’s microchip info is up to date
• Keep a recent photo of your pet in case you get separated
• Plan where you’ll go with your pet if you need to evacuate
