My adult daughters came over yesterday and wanted to spend some time with this beautiful girl.

This beautiful girl is a also a very spicy catl, and they were strangers to her, so they were smart to keep their distance!

It's very hard not to pet a cat as gorgeous as this one. Good thing I taught them to respect every animal's boundaries... although one of them may be killed one day petting a wild animal they can't resist!

While this little guy is in my care, he will be receiving the best of everything.
He shouts for what he wants, which is all of my attention.
He sleeps like the dead, he entertains me with his antics, and he wraps his little paws around my arm and falls asleep like an angel.

Happy Friday, friends! Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and Cats Upstairs currently has only ONE boarding studio spot remaining.

One of the biggest gifts you can give both yourself and your cat while traveling is peace of mind. Cats tend to do best with calm, consistent care — not just a quick daily check-in, but thoughtful observation, companionship, and attentive care throughout the day.

At Cats Upstairs, I intentionally keep occupancy very limited (currently 4 studios) so each cat receives personalized attention based on their own personality, comfort level, and preferences — whether that means playtime and affection, or simply respectful quiet observation and cozy spaces to decompress.

Thank you all for the ❤️ and concern! This boy is back and is as sweet as ever, with several weeks of healing ahead of him. Energy of calm is what is needed now, because this little monkey wants to play and climb and make up for lost time!

So many people have a hand in getting him to where he is today, from his rescuer in Yakima, Oakbrook Cat Rescue and the surgeon and veterinary staff(who I know they carried him around- because he demands it with his personality and his voice). 😉 😻

Please know he is happy, well cared for and I am fully supported by the rescue and the vets office.
