We get a ton of owners coming in asking when is a good time to come in and get their dogs or cats nails trimmed. Or we get asked I'm not sure how or where to cut my dogs nails how do you do it?...the normal recommended time frame to bring your animal back in for a nail trim is about 2-3weeks that time frame makes it so the nails quick can stay at a perfect length for nail trims. Now let's say you forget and let your animals nails get long don't fret!! That's why we are here also!! Just know that the quick grows along side with the nail itself. When the quick grows that is when there is a higher chance of what is called "Quicking the nail" now quicking can and does happen at every length of the nail but when the quick is long there is more of a chance that the quick gets quicked and the nail still looks long even though the nail was clipped. Again the reason the nail still appears long is because the quick has grown to long to cut the nail any shorter causing the dog or cats nails to be quicked if we attempt to keep cutting the nail shorter which is Painful!! We know this infection can sound overwhelming or a big scary but not to worry that is why we at Scruffy’s Soggy Dog Salon are here to help!! We offer walk in Nail Trims $20 for ANY ANIMAL! Monday-Saturday 8AM-3PM (call on sat seeing store hours may change)
