September has arrived, and with it came the rain, a welcome sight for the ducks and I. Mostly because watering is my least favorite chore. The steady drizzle gives me a little breathing room to tackle other projects and finish up a few things in the grow tunnels. I hope all of you get to enjoy a cozy moment on this rainy day 🌧️

Happy September 1st! It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer has passed. Fall brings more work here on the farm, but I’m looking forward to making some long awaited changes to the layout and planting bulbs that will welcome us in the spring.
For now, the dahlias are still going strong, putting on quite a show and brightening these late summer days.

Your favorite petal pushers will be at the Lakeside Farmers Market tomorrow morning! 🌸 We’ll have a beautiful selection of fresh blooms to brighten your day, or make someone else’s day extra special.

Would we truly be able to see and appreciate the beauty around us without experiencing loss? I’m not sure, but I do know how deeply I value the beauty we work so hard to cultivate. Despite bad weather, crop loss, and countless other challenges, I’m always in awe of what we’re able to produce. Seeing the joy on people’s faces when they take home one of our bouquets reminds us that our efforts are meaningful, and that the beauty we strive to create brings happiness to you and your loved ones.

We’re giving Group Cosmo a sweet send off today, and I think these are some of the prettiest bouquets of the summer so far. These late summer arrangements are filled with dahlias, snapdragons, and lovely lisianthus which is blooming just in time for our members to enjoy.
Thank you, Group Cosmo, for joining us on this summer’s flower journey. We hope to see you again next summer for another season of CSA blooms!
