The “un-groomable” dog - got groomed! (With a rockstar Mohawk to match his attitude!)
Patience is key with the more “difficult” pets. When an owner says “oh my God, I’ve never seen him do that before”, chances are they’re probably right. When pets go to vets offices or grooming salons, they are getting immersed into a whole new environment - one that they may not feel comfortable letting their guard down.
That being said patience is the key to making sure everyone has a positive experience. Most grooming salons reserve a certain amount of time per pet so that they can schedule accordingly. For pets who have more difficulty with the grooming experience I offer both mini sessions to help get them used to brushing and combing and nail trims and also extended grooming sessions where we take breaks to allow room for self regulation.
