A little business update from our family. 🤍

Dixie’s has grown and changed in ways we never could have anticipated, and we’re so grateful. As more of our calendar has become dedicated to schools and educational programs, we’ve had to become more intentional about the private events we accept.

We still love being invited into your celebrations. Getting to watch a child light up when the animals arrive, seeing families slow down and enjoy the experience together, and knowing we get to be part of a memory they’ll carry with them is incredibly special to us.

Private celebrations aren’t going anywhere—we’re just doing fewer of them and making sure the ones we say yes to are worth the time they require from our family and the experience we want to provide yours.

Thank you for continuing to invite our little farm into your schools, communities, and celebrations. We don’t take it for granted. ❤️🐐🌾

Our October calendar is open and filling up! If you have a fall carnival, festival or event book your date now. We also have available assembly dates. We bring the field trip to you which saves time and money and we make the logistics SO simple! 🐽

Every school is different, so we customize our visit to fit your students and schedule.

Typically, we begin with an engaging, age-appropriate assembly where students meet the animals while learning about agriculture, animal adaptations, responsibility, and the important role farming plays in California’s Central Valley.

Then comes everyone’s favorite part—a hands-on meet & greet where students can interact with the animals in smaller groups.

✨ No buses.
✨ No permission slips.
✨ No lost instructional time.

We bring the field trip to your campus, creating an experience that’s memorable, educational, and easy for schools to coordinate. We don’t just bring animals to schools. We bring agriculture to life. 🌾

A glowing review means everything to us.

As a family-owned business that started completely from scratch, our mission has always been simple: to create a one-of-a-kind experience that brings people closer to animals and the joy they naturally bring to all ages.

Messages like this remind us why we do what we do. Whether it’s a school assembly, a library program, or a community event, seeing students engaged, smiling, and truly connecting with the animals is what drives every early morning, late night, and mile on the road.

We’re so grateful for the schools who trust us to be part of their programs and for the kind words that come afterward. It truly keeps us going.

We just wrapped up 6 school assemblies in 4 days for summer school programs in Modesto, and our hearts are so full. The feedback from students and staff has been incredible, but the sweetest moments came from the children themselves.

We heard things like…
🐐 “Can I sleep here?”
🐑 “This is the best day of my life!”
🐇 “Is this even real?”

For so many of these kids, it was their very first time seeing, touching, or interacting with a farm animal. Those moments are exactly why we do what we do.

At Dixie’s Mobile Mini Farm, we love combining hands-on animal experiences with engaging lessons about agriculture in California’s Central Valley. We believe some of the best learning happens when children can see, touch, ask questions, and experience it for themselves.

Watching curiosity turn into excitement—and excitement turn into lasting memories—is such a privilege.
