Okay finally let's take a second to talk about Miss Mabel. Apparently eating and sleeping isn't enough, because scaring me is definitely part of her job description 😭
Last night I discovered one of her lymph nodes were swollen to an alarming size. First thing this morning I put a call into our vet and they got us in. Full CBC and parasite tests and our vet suspects infection. Her white blood cells were elevated mildly so it seems that likely is the case and we caught it early. We have her started on antibiotics and a steroid for the swelling and we'll go back in a couple weeks for a recheck. Thank you all for the kind words this morning. I appreciate you all!!

When I said I had a busy day ahead of me I was telling the whole truth!! Jinx is home and resting now. He's the 3rd of our barn cats that have gone to SWFL Spay & Neuter here in Highlands County. They come over and alter so many babies at a price you can't beat and they do a fabulous job.
