ATTENTION!!Notice of change in hours!!!!
As the veterinary team WAHS, we are always evolving! Since starting to offer urgent care hours May 18th, our team has treated 216 URGENT cases! WOW!! (This does not include same day emergencies during our regular business hours.) Our team is working hard to be there when you need us!

After examining the last few months, we have learned that of the 216 cases, only 4 of them were checked in after 7pm. This has shown us that our community needs us, but rarely until 8pm.
Therefore our hours of urgent care will now be 3-6pm starting August 10th.
Thank you for continuing to believe in us as we evolve into a clinic that is focused on being there for our community!

(Yes, we realize our community still desperately needs a 24hr emergency clinic and weekend services. Unfortunately due to the shortage of veterinarians, WAHS is unable to provide this service at this time. Finding veterinarians to relocate to Lake Havasu has been our biggest challenge in providing this service.)

🚨 IMPORTANT URGENT CARE UPDATE 🚨

As our Veterinary URGENT CARE hours continue to grow, we want to let our community know that a TRIAGE SYSTEM will be in place upon arrival. 🩺🐾

Just like a human urgent care or emergency room, pets will be evaluated based on the severity of their condition. This allows our medical team to prioritize patients who are critically ill or experiencing life-threatening emergencies first. ❤️

We encourage pet owners to use our triage chart as a helpful guide to determine if your pet may need urgent medical attention.

🟢 GREEN CASES:
These are considered stable/non-emergent conditions and may NOT be seen on an urgent basis if more critical patients arrive. Wait times may be extended, or we may recommend scheduling with your primary veterinarian.

🟡 YELLOW CASES:
Moderately urgent conditions that should be evaluated but are currently stable.

🔴 RED CASES:
Life-threatening emergencies requiring immediate medical attention.

Please understand that ALL animals arriving during urgent care hours will first be triaged by our team. Patient condition, breathing status, pain level, neurological signs, bleeding, trauma severity, and overall stability will determine order of care — NOT order of arrival.

We appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding as we work hard to care for every patient safely and appropriately. Thank you for trusting us with your pets. 🐶🐱❤️

We are now on DAY 3 of our Veterinary URGENT CARE hours, and our team has been ALL HANDS ON DECK serving this community! 👩‍⚕️🐶🐱
