Please join me in welcoming the 7th Fruit baby, Kiwi!!

The rescuer had a little challenge catching Kiwi, so we were able to do the transfer today. Kiwi has recieved the second dose of dewormer, had a bath and will be joining their colony mates once dry 😺

Kiwi was very nervous getting a bath, but braved it well. Still no scratches! Yay! Kiwi isn't so sure about being held in a towel by the strange lady who tried to drown him/her in the kitchen sink and is attempting to get dry by self-grooming 🧡

The rescuer has not seen baby #8 in quite some time, so unless a miracle happens, Kiwi will be the last rescue from the colony at this time. Should the rescuer find baby #8, I will be getting that one as well for foster care.

While sitting here keeping Kiwi warm and getting dry, I hear the purring motor start! I love when they start purring!!

For those who have submitted applications for adoptions, please be patient! They are going thru them all and will reach out as soon as they can!!

We are all volunteers and have families and full-time jobs as well. We love that y'all want to adopt! None of the babies are able to go home for another couple of weeks, minimum. They are still being medically evaluated, shots, spay/neuter and need to be a minimum of 2lbs before they can have surgery, some kittens take extra time to hit that weight....

Thank you for the continued support of animal welfare!

Thank you and keep those applications coming!

We are so thankful for the amazing support from our community and well beyond! The interest we have had in kitten adoption is beyond our expectations. We are going through applications now and will be reaching out soon. Please be patient as are caring for the kittens in our care, taking in more kittens and working on TNR.

The kittens in our care are not quite ready to go home just yet they are gaining weight, getting veterinarian care and will be spayed or neutered when they are big enough. We hope to set up a meet and greet/pre adoption event in the next week.

The sweet babies pictured just came into our care yesterday!

I'm sorry Ms. Molly.... you're an excellent momma and you're already telling these youngsters how to behave.... I won't add anymore unless its from the Fruit Litter colony.

I'm officially full until these babies are adopted, so get your applications in to [email protected]! If the one you are wanting gets adopted, there are more! Remember, if there isn't already a playful kitty at home, consider adopting at least TWO! They are playmates and adopting multiples will help keep them social throughout their lives and keep them from becoming bored. Kittens learn from each other and need lots of playtime as kittens.

They should all start getting spayed/neutered in the next 3 weeks and can go home to their furever home afterwards!

Instead of having my kitty crew socialize the new additions, I am having Ms. Molly oversee their introduction, and she is setting clear expectations. The presence of seven kittens, in addition to Cleo and her four kittens, presents a significant challenge, but the hardwood flooring in the foster room simplifies the cleaning process. Thankfully, every kitten from the Fruit Litter and Meowy has successfully utilized the litter boxes, which was a major concern for me aside from socialization. These little ones are already engaging with each other and seem to be enjoying their time in the foster room.

Please join me in welcoming 6 wet rats to the Embry Kitty Fosters! Lol Just kidding, I'm not fostering rats! These babies are freshly bathed and as soon as they are dry, they'll be getting their flea treatment, they definitely have fleas 🫣 and I found one tick in my inspection during their baths.

Since lately I've not been getting a high score in being correct on gender, these babies will remain as babies until confirmed at the vet! Lol

I've got 4 letters left in the alphabet and 6 babies.... so I'm calling these babies the Fruit Litter!

We've got:
Apple
Banana
Mango
Melon
Apricot
Grape

A couple of them are long-haired, none of them are extra spicy, so they shouldn't take long to socialize and be ready for adoption. I recieved not a single scratch during their baths, at least not any that broke the skin!

The Fruit Litter comes from a colony and they are approximately 8 weeks old. They have received their first set of shots, been dewormed, bathed and treated for fleas. Now for them to get used to the life of luxury that they deserve for the rest of their lives! There may be a couple more kittens to join the Fruit Litter, they are just being challenging to catch. Should they be caught, they'll be joining their mates and will have fruit names as well.

Meowy went back to the vet today to try for that f***l test....

Test was negative for parasites!!! Yay!! So he was able to get his 6-week shots today and the countdown begins, in about 3 weeks he'll recieve his booster shots and be neutered! Then he can be officially adopted!

Meowy got his name from his rescuers, as it was his cries that led them to finding him. He also has a lot to say sometimes, but he purrs with such delight when he's being held 🧡🧡 Like most kitties, he's not a fan of being bathed, but he handles it quite well. The stress of being on his own, for who knows how long, finally getting food on a regular basis and going to the vet is the cause of his explosive p**p, which now that he's getting fed properly, his p**p is now forming properly and we're not having explosions anymore. It's hard to believe sometimes its only been TWO days since I got him 🙀 I'll be giving Meowy another bath and will get a good photo of him so he can find his furever home!

I also picked up 4 of the expected 8 kittens while at the vet, I'll do official introductions by tomorrow. They need baths and time to settle in a bit. These babies need socialization and litter box training before they can be adopted. They are approximately 8 weeks old. So they've recieved their first shots and are also on a countdown to being spayed/neutered.
