The search is over for Dock’s guardian home. He will be living in North Myrtle Beach with the sweetest family. He has adjusted so well and everyone has fallen in love! We cannot wait until this boy is ready to be used for our program.

Time for a pup date
Doc, formerly known as Boots. Loves to give anyone he meets a “hug”. He will paw at your hand until you pet him. He has a Mickey Mouse stuffy that he loves dearly. May occasionally dig a hole in the backyard 🤪
We got Doc in hopes that he would be a great companion for our son Fisher, who has autism. While Doc loves all four of our children, he and Fisher share a special bond. When Fisher is walking down the stairs at our house, Doc stays one step in front of him on the way down. He also stays right by Fisher’s side when we’re outside.
Just two weeks ago, Fisher went outside without us knowing. I went back and looked at our security cameras and Doc would run outside to Fisher and back inside to alert us. He kept running in and out until Fisher was back inside.
We never taught him to watch for Fisher. We didn’t do anything special to make sure the two clicked, it just happened organically. While these two beings can’t communicate, they are saying more than words ever could ❤️.

Update on Nerd (now Chandler)

Chandler is literally the definition of man’s best friend. He doesn’t know a stranger, he loves to snuggle and has yet to bark!! He is super smart. He rings the bell to go outside, knows how to sit and lay down, and sleeps quietly in his crate and waits patiently for me to come get him in the mornings. He is playful yet so chill!! He is the perfect dog

hi! Meet Mallie ( Regina).Mallie is her mamas best friend & cuddle buddy. She has been on several visits to the Carolina Academy where she met with students and staff who loved her. She has tons of energy & loves to play, she loves bath time/playing in any water she can find, going on car rides, pup cups, her mommy, and all the attention! she rings her bell when she has to go potty and she can give high-fives!

We named him Dock 🐾

Because it’s more than a place — it’s a piece of our soul.

The dock was where our summers came to life… from Memorial Day to Labor Day, it was home. Fishing lines in the water, cousins running wild, boiled peanuts on the table, and Mimi’s sweet peach tea in hand.

It’s where stories were told, laughter was shared, and memories were made. We can still see Pop, sitting upstairs, watching it all through the window — like he always did.

Naming him Dock felt like bringing a little bit of that magic home. 💙
