WE MADE IT!!! 🎉🥺

Our peak summer season has officially come to an end, and this boss lady and Ashleigh are TIRED! 😂🐾 We’re going to spend the next week or two catching our breath, getting some much-needed rest, and giving everything a good deep clean. 🧹🧼

🍂 Looking ahead to fall:

1. Labor Day – Monday, September 7

2. Football Season 🏈
LSU and McNeese home games are right around the corner, so don’t forget to make boarding reservations if you’ll be traveling!

3. Thanksgiving
It’s never too early to book for Thanksgiving! Holiday boarding fills up quickly every year.

4. Changes at our South location
Now that our Downtown location has settled into a great rhythm, we’re intentionally slowing things down a bit at our South location. Our goal is to make our home feel like home again.

Personally, I’m ready to slow down a little and spend the next few months enjoying everything we’ve accomplished. We’ve worked so hard to get here, and I want to get back to appreciating the little things.

What you’ll notice:
• Lower daycare capacity (please schedule a day or two in advance when possible)
• One groomer schedule (we’re happy to set up recurring appointments!)
• A smaller staff at the South location

5. Please be patient with pickups and drop-offs 😊
Pickup and drop-off times may occasionally take longer than 3 minutes. Please be kind to our staff—they’re often with the dogs and may need a few extra minutes to get to you.

📱 Texting us when you’re passing the airport and again when you’ve arrived helps speed things up tremendously!

6. A quick reminder about our property
The South location is also our family home. We kindly ask that visits be during business hours and by reservation only.

Please also slow down as you turn into the driveway—the speed limit is 25 mph, and we have personal animals that roam the property.

I rotate all of my dogs throughout the year so that each one of them get a once a year under anesthesia full dental cleaning. I can’t recommend this enough for our clients. I don’t think this is talked about frequently in the dog world. It’s not a gimmick. Your vet sincerely cares about your dog and their health and a lot of issues can stem from their mouth. Those xrays see below the gum line and help your dog live a longer healthier life!

This dog had Non-Anesthetic Teeth Cleanings every 6 months since 1 year of age. Owner came to us (I worked at a veterinary dental specialty clinic) after seeing blood in food bowl. 18 teeth were abscessed. Owner was devastated because she thought she was doing what was best for her dog. This picture shows that the crown was clean but, the real problem was below the gumline. The danger of this type of cleaning is that the owner thinks the teeth are clean but, the infection is hidden. Cleaning below the gumline and dental X-rays can only be done under anesthesia. Education to pet owners is so important!
