Our clinic is a full service veterinary medical facility that is dedicated to providing the upmost care for your four legged fury friends. Dr. William Patrick Harper, DVM operates the Animal Medical Center located in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. He was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA and attended Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. He has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for ov

er 30 years and is just as passionate today as the day he decided to become a Veterinarian. After graduating from LSU, he worked at a very busy 4 Doctor Veterinarian Clinic in the Houston Texas area for about a year, to gain experience in private practice before returning to open Animal Medical Center of Moss Bluff in August 1982. After being located on Hwy 171 for 8 years, he moved his practice to the present location on Sam Houston Jones Parkway next to Jeff Davis Bank.

👋 Meet Dr. Angel Mesimer — the newest addition to our veterinary team!
Originally from the small town of Richfield, NC, Dr. Mesimer earned her Biology degree before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical training at LSU and is now excited to care for your beloved pets and connect with families in our community. 🐾

A proud dog mom to three rescues — Scout (adopted from a shelter she once volunteered at in NC) and two lovable “coconut retrievers” she brought home from Saint Kitts — Dr. Mesimer’s heart for animals runs deep. 🐶🌴

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her hiking trails or out on the water with her pups.

Help us give a warm welcome to Dr. Mesimer — we’re thrilled to have her on the team! 💙
