Today we are celebrating 8 years with Dr. Thibodeaux!🥳

Dr. Thibodeaux is always ready to help pets in needs of some TLC, and his main role at Gill Bright is as Medial Director!
As the captain of our ship it is his job to make sure our protocols and policies are top notch, and align with our mission of bringing the best in pet care to SWLA. He also works hard on making sure everyone on the Gill Bright Team has a chance to sharpen their skills and continuously learn and grow no matter what role they play.
It's a tough job but he does it well, and we wouldn't be the clinic we are today without him. So thank you Dr. Thibodeaux, for all that you do!

❓Which animal’s personality do you think best resembles your own?
👨🏻‍⚕️I've always been partial to Boston Terriers. My childhood pet Scooter was always willing to help and had a fun side, and at the same time helped us work our cows. He was a jack of all trades and I guess I'm a bit like my boston's!

❓What did the journey to veterinarian and then medical director look like?
👨🏻‍⚕️I'm blessed to have found a profession I love. Being a veterinarian has been a blessing, and I look forward to practicing for decades to come. As medical director, I get to help mentor veterinarians as well as maintain and improve the quality of care for our clinic and our community. I have a passion for helping others, and as medical director I get the opportunity to put that passion into action.

❓What is your favorite way to de-stress after a long day here at the hospital?
👨🏻‍⚕️There's nothing better than getting home and being greeted by my wife and kids. Seeing the smile on their faces is the best. Otherwise I'm on our cattle farm building fence or working cattle. Getting outside and putting in work has always helped me re-set to take on new challenges.

Today we are celebrating National Dog Day, so go grab some treats and let's get some tails wagging! 🐶

Creola is a rambunctious springer spaniel and is the de facto Gill Bright Animal Hospital mascot. Her powerful nose helps her to determine which trashcans are worth rummaging through and her eyes have the power to command people to give her treats.🕵️‍♀

Aggie is a dog of many breeds- chihuahua, rat terrier, dachshund, American pit bull terrier, poodle, pekingese, and miniature pinscher. She is the queen of sass and yes, she does think she is the biggest dog in the yard.👑

Juliet is a zippy whippet, built for speed, grace, and agility. She can be found lounging in the sun or running laps like a marathon sprinter; otherwise you can find her working on her modeling career like the starlet she is.💃

This weekend the Gill Bright Animal Hospital team took some time to relax and bond over volleyball and pickleball at South Beach.
The vibes were amazing, the sunset was spectacular, and our crew had the best time! 🌞

Shout to Olivia, who is celebrating her 4 year anniversary at Gill Bright Animal Hospital!

Olivia is one of our most experienced veterinary assistants. She is often found helping nurse pets back to health as well as training other team members to do the same. Her passion and dedication to bettering the lives of animals is obvious in everything she does!

❓What is your biggest academic or work-related accomplishment?
🦓 One of my proudest accomplishments was traveling to South Africa to work hands-on with wildebeests, zebras, and other wildlife. It was an incredible opportunity to gain knowledge, experience a new culture, and grow both personally and professionally.

❓Which animal’s personality do you think best resembles your own?
🦓If I had to choose an animal that best represents me, it would be my Cane Corso, Maze. She’s laid back yet adaptable in any situation, and she has a natural ability to connect with and get along with others—qualities I see in myself as well.

❓What are your favorite “behind-the-scenes" moments at Gill Bright Animal Hospital?
🦓Some of my favorite behind-the-scenes moments have been during emergencies, when the entire team comes together seamlessly. Watching everyone move quickly, communicate effectively, and ultimately save a life is both inspiring and rewarding to be a part of.
