Think I decided on a Barn Name for Kahuna, I think I am going to call her Lucille (Lucy) after my favorite lady ever! My precious Grandmother Mary Lucille. It's not Hawaiian, but it fits her sweet personality.. so welcome home sweet Lucy

Welcome home to my New ladies!
Added yesterday from 5'O'clock Rabbitry, I'm so excited to welcome
32 Days Ramona, barn name Remmy (unless I can find something I like better) Black Intermediate doe.
Coleman's Crystal, Black Senior Brood doe
And
BLB's Kahuna, I need help with a barn name for her. White Senior Brood doe. I would love to find Something Hawaiian as I have her littermate Aloha.
These 3 girls each have somethings that will benefit my breeding program.. from Kahuna's fullness to Remmys EXTREME Width and Crystals depth. I am excited to pair them each with both Hardy AND Gambler to see what kind of improvements I can produce in their kits.
Breeding will be starting here in the next couple of weeks and I am beyond excited!!
Thank you as always to Andrew Klock for helping me to improve my stock and always be so very helpful.

Am I the only one chomping at the bit for Fall? I am Sooooo ready for cooler weather and to get started with my breeding season. I plan on breeding really heavily this fall. I have brought in new bloodlines, some more rabbits from current bloodlines and will be breeding some of my homebred show rabbits for the first season. My goal is to really focus on trying to improve the structure of the babies I produce this year. I have REALLY been listening closely to the Judges opinions and critiques and know where I need to make improvement. Primarily with Depth and shoulders. Flat toplines are my nemesis lol...
Next year I should be able to scale back the number of breedings and ONLY breed the pairs that produce the best results.
So with that said, so far at least my plans are (very subject to change lol)....
VALENTINE (Homegrown), Blue to HARDY, Broken Blue
SAPPHIRE, Blue to ARAGON, White (carries blue) Repeat Breeding or HARDY, Broken Blue also a repeat
KAHUNA (New), White to GAMBLER, White
ALOHA, White to ARAGON repeat breeding or HARDY, Broken Blue
PROMISE, Broken Blue to ELVIS, Blue or GAMBLER, White
DREAM, Broken Black to ELVIS, Blue or HARDY again
MIMZY, Broken Black to GAMBLER, White
CRYSTAL (New), Black to BO, Broken Black or ELVIS, Blue
APPLE, Red to CASH Red
REMMY (New), Black to HARDY, Broken Blue
I am still up in the Air on whether or not I will breed Atty this season, I am typically a 3 strikes your out breeder.. Atty has produced 2 nice sized litters for me, but has failed to mother either. She builds a great nest, has them IN the nest, jumps in to check them, but either doesn't allow them to feed or has no milk so they quickly go downhill. Both litters I have either fostered all or bottle fed. So I am torn on whether or not to breed her a third time or go on and cull her. IF I decide to breed her one more time, I will make sure that there are multiple other does bred at the same time to split the litter between if necessary (I will not over burden one doe). Bottle babies are sweet, but they are a TON of work.
Any way... I am getting super excited to start those kindling countdowns for new litters..
What are y'all's breeding plans this fall?

Love this handsome boy, but dang y'all these white coats on these messy boys are HARD! Working on trying to make Gambler presentable for tomorrow.. can't say he's upset by all the attention.. I think he would be perfectly content as a house bunny..
Considering bringing him and Hardy in for a week or two to hopefully get an Early start on Breeding season (like 9/1 instead of 10/1)
Still thinking about it..
No real rush honestly other than just eager to see what this season brings. I'm not planning on going to Nationals so no needs to breed specifically for that. I would like to have Intermediates by Dalton, in March or April, so I do want to get an earlier start than normal. I'm so excited by the pairings I have planned especially with my 3 new ladies arriving Saturday.
I plan to utilize Gambler a lot, I plan to cross him with Dream (Broken Black), Mimzy (Broken Black), Kahuna (White) and Crystal (Black). I'm not 100% on what colors he carries, should be black so might breed him to Sapphire (Blue) later on as well and see if he carries dilute.
Hopefully the Judges aren't too hard on us tomorrow for his stained coat.. I have been working on it for days now trying to lighten it up as much as possible. Thank God he's a mellow boy.

I know I haven't posted in a bit, I'm sorry.
Thought I would share an update on these cuties. I can't believe its already time to wean them. I'm still going back and forth on what color they are going to end up lol.. I THINK I have one Black Tort and one Blue Tort, I have no clue on the 2 Charlies.
I absolutely love their personalities. They are so energetic. I definitely have a couple of favorites...I absolutely love the little Black Tort buck Circus, the Blue doe Pandora and the potential Blue Tort doe Misi though Misi is the quietest/shyest of the bunch, she's perfectly content just sitting in my lap for hours, not running and be rambunctious lol.
Circus has the craziest zoomies of any baby I have ever seen.. he absolutely LOVES the jingle balls and throws them all over their cage chasing them back and forth. I find myself just pulling up a chair and sitting and watching them. He and his black brother Tux wrestle like puppies. They are constantly either chasing each other or flopped on top of one another. I have gone back and forth on whether I am going to keep my Spots. I LOVE their personalities, but just did not enjoy showing them. I need to give it another try before I make up my mind because I absolutely love my Girl Leah and buck Circles. They are both sooo sweet. Anyway, enjoy the pictures. They are adorable!

Ok, for my Spot Breeders.. since I am a total noob when it comes to Spots.. can you tell me if you think this is just a low Rufus Gold, or potentially a Blue Tort?? Also my favorite of this litter has a stay head spot. Does this Disqualify her for Show? Thanks in advance..

Y'all!! I think one of Leah's babies is a Blue Tort! Pictures to come tomorrow

I have 8 meat Rabbits available. All are purebred New Zealand, 1 Red, 1 blue and 6 White. The red is a 1 yr old doe (do not advise for a bweekrood doe), one of the white bucks is 6 months old. The other whites and blue are 3 months.
I am located in Lagrange Georgia, please message for more information. I also have some nice Red does and a couple of Broken Blacks that will be ready in a couple of weeks that COULD have Show potential, its a bit early to know for certain as yet.
I can get pictures if interested.

Took my time before introducing the newest member of the family. He was in pretty bad shape when we found him, and he had a heck of a start.. but we are ALMOST completely healed up..
Everyone meet Oliver. I agonized over a name lol.. I wanted to name him either Highway or Traveler in memory of his harrowing start.. he said no. Oliver fits...
We found him last week in the engine compartment of my car. We tried for 2 days to coax him out with food, then we were certain he was gone. I drove to town made several stops and home only to once more hear him screaming from my car.. bless Sandy for taking my car apart in an effort to finally get hold of him and get him inside. He had multiple bot fly larvae or Warbles as some call them. I got them out and cleaned up and they are finally healing up. Poor little guy has had a rough start. Thankfully he has found a soft place to land and a home where he will be loved. Well by Sandy and I anyway... Ella is NOT impressed!

I am looking for a Pet Home for this little guy. He was gifted to me yesterday and I took him with the hope that I can find him a loving INDOOR home. I do not think I would place him in a home with young children. He's tiny and a fall from being dropped could be fatal. He is literally the sweetest rabbit I have ever seen in my life, he is literally a little cuddle bug and is perfectly content to sit in my lap and watch TV! He does have a TON of hair and will need someone who is committed to caring for all that coat.
His Breed is a Jersey Wooly, he is approximately 3 months old, and his color is Black Otter. I will be picky about where he goes, because if I cannot find him what I feel is a suitable home. He will stay here.
