Ear Cropping: A Personal Choice 🐾
One question we get often is, “Why do some Cane Corsos have cropped ears?”
The truth is, we have dogs with both cropped and natural ears, and we love them all the same. ❤️
Ear cropping is a personal decision made by each owner. Some choose cropped ears because they prefer the traditional look of the breed, while others leave ears natural because they love the softer, natural appearance.
Some owners also believe cropped ears can help reduce the risk of ear injuries during rough play, working activities, or protection sports, while others feel natural ears are just as suitable for their lifestyle.
At the end of the day, a dog’s ears don’t determine their temperament, loyalty, trainability, or ability to be an amazing family companion. Whether cropped or natural, what matters most is proper care, training, socialization, and responsible ownership.
We’re fortunate to have experience with both, and we think they’re beautiful either way. 🖤
