Yesterday marked the anniversary of my adoption, a day my mom affectionately calls my "gotcha day". She considers me her soul dog, as finding me at the shelter helped her navigate a significant life transition. In fact, she says I'm the one who truly rescued her. As we celebrate the day we found each other, we're reminded of the importance of choosing adoption.

You may find the one who needs you is the one you need most.
