Kyle Campus – 500 FM 150 E, Kyle, TX 78640
Dripping Springs Campus – 2965 FM 165, Dripping Springs, TX 78620 PAWS is relentless in our effort to save lives and change lives. Our efforts in that regard include:

•Holding offsite adoptions to get the animals out into the community.
•Fully vaccinating and microchipping our animals so that they can begin their long, happy lives with their new owners,

“fully equipped!”.
•Visiting local community groups and schools to educate our community on responsible pet ownership.
•Making sure that every animal in our care gets the medical attention it needs.
•Pioneering the Pets in Prison Program (also known as the Cell Dog Program) to help those dogs who have behavior issues that might hinder them in finding a loving family.
•Implementing a Behavior Testing Program which temperament tests all those in our care before they are adopted into the community, allowing for better placement of pets into a new home environment that is best for all.
•Spaying or neutering all our animals to further our commitment to be part of the solution in our communities’ pet overpopulation problem.

We have WONDERFUL news to share!

Flynn began to have a difficult time in the shelter environment after waiting for 8 long months. Thanks to the generosity of this beautiful community, we were able to send Flynn to ‘s board and train program… there, he absolutely flourished, and is currently HOME with his new mom and dad! 🤍🙌🏼

Flynn’s Fund has now helped two wonderful dogs get the behavioral training and care they need to succeed in a home.

We can’t thank you enough for pouring your love and support into PAWS, and for helping us connect these wonderful animals with their forever families.

It’s Scooby’s one year anniversary at PAWS 💔

About 3 year old Scooby:

*good with select dogs (usually female)
*crate trained/housebroken
*shouldn’t live with kitties
*good with older kids
*cuddle bug
*good on a leash

From his former foster , this is what you can expect from life with Scooby. “I am a first-time foster and Scooby has been a very good boy! He is staying for a long weekend and we are on day 3 already.

First thing that I noticed about Scooby is that he is a sweetheart and so curious about everything. We have been taking two walks a day which seems to keep him satisfied. He is learning new sounds from cars, trucks, and motor bikes in my neighborhood,, so I worked out some tricks to keep him calm when they are close. He wants to say hi to all the dogs, but he is still learning and needs to build his confidence in this area - a very quick learner though! Scooby loves to smell and investigate everything. He also knows to check in with me when he gets excited, which is progress.

I work from home, so his first day he chilled with me all day. No whining of any kind. He just wanted the occasional scratch.

Bonus: He is crate trained and goes to bed like a prince!

He cuddles, likes play time, and chills on the back patio like a dream.”

Thanks to the generosity of this community (once again), donations during Dinner by the Bite enabled us to repair our broken Kuranda beds… 6 beds are now good as new for our pups! 👏✨🐶

Thank you as always for supporting us in our mission to continue to care for these animals!

Over the years, there have been dogs that have truly captured the hearts of our staff. Godiva is one of those dogs.

After waiting almost three years to find the right home, Godiva truly hit the jackpot. Now home for three months, our hearts exploded when we got an update on how she is doing.

According to her new dad: “Godiva was our missing piece and has fallen into place perfectly! We are loving seeing her personality show more and more. She has claimed her place on every soft piece of furniture and likes to role play as a teacup chihuahua. She is the perfect couch potato and takes some coaxing to get moving sometimes. One of her favorite activities is going for walks down the road and visiting the cows. We call it a sniffari, as she loves sniffing around and country living provides lots of smells. She loves playing fetch with the kids, belly scratches with dad, and bedtime snacks with mom. We are forever grateful for whatever lead us to Paws and to our sweet girl! Thank you for loving her until we could!”

Godiva may have had to wait years to find her family, but boy did she land a good one! 🥹🥰

1 1/2 year old Euro has successfully completed board and train and is currently in foster! Next step: find his forever family as soon as possible. *Kyle, TX*

From Euro’s foster:

“Euro is doing great and has settled into foster life really well.

Since picking him up from board and train, we’ve mainly been continuing to practice what I was taught there, especially around leash manners and walking. The biggest thing we’re working on is helping him stay calm before we start a walk, since he gets excited when he knows he’s about to go out. Once we’re moving, though, he does an amazing job. He walks right beside me with the occasional tug to sniff, which we are working on, but overall he does phenomenal on our walks.

He’s been an absolute sweetheart!! He craves human attention and affection, but in a very sweet way - he’s not pushy about it. He really seems to want to please and is very attentive to his person. He listens extremely well both inside and outside the home.

I’ve also taken him to private off-leash areas, and he’s done great there as well. He enjoys exploring, but consistently checks back in and stays very aware of where his human is. He has a really nice balance of confidence and attentiveness. Honestly, I have very few notes for him. He’s such a good dog.”

On Tuesday, the hard working staff at the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter put out a public call for help as they were out of kennel space.

PAWS was proud to answer that call and assist our county shelter. Although we wish we could have taken in more, we were able to intake seven dogs, freeing up some much-needed kennel space.

Although not all these babies are quite ready for adoption yet, we are happy to welcome Indie, Folk, Clover, Sweet Roll, Reba, Cookie, and Lo-Fi to PAWS. ❤️

Next stop: Loving homes! 🙌

Sweet, adorable Lil Sebastian has officially been waiting for his family for over one year with us. He’s currently in foster getting a much-needed break, but he really needs a forever hero asap. 🆘 ❤️‍🩹

*Kyle, TX*

2 1/2 year old Lil Sebastian has been in a shelter environment since March 2025, and he’s had a hard time adjusting to life behind kennel doors. He arrived at PAWS in May 2025, and like so many sensitive dogs, he’s been quietly trying to cope with the noise, stress, and unpredictability of shelter life.

We don’t know what Seb’s life looked like before PAWS - but based on his behavior, we can guess that he hasn’t always been treated with kindness. He’s shy and avoidant at first, preferring to hang back and observe. He may not rush up to greet you, and he likely won’t be the dog who catches your eye first… but give him a chance, and you’ll discover a truly special companion.

With gentle patience, some kind words, and a few tasty treats, Lil Sebastian begins to let his walls down. He’ll tiptoe forward, slowly wag his tail, and eventually give in to the warmth of human connection. Once he realizes you’re safe to be around, he blossoms into a total sweetheart - a goofy, tail-wagging cuddlebug who rolls around, leans into pets, and shows you his playful side.

Seb doesn’t need much … just a calm, loving environment where he can feel secure. Whether you’re interested in fostering or adopting, you’ll be giving him the gift he’s waited so long for: a place where he can truly relax and be himself. 🤎

Even though Stella was a staff and volunteer favorite, she needed a specific type of home to thrive. But more than that, she needed a person who would take the time to understand and work with her. Which is exactly what she found in Rachel.

After waiting for her happily ever after for almost a YEAR, we are happy to report that Stella has found her person and home! 🎉🙌
