Pyrenean Mastiffs of Pu'uwai O Pokela Farm Located in Kula, Maui, HI. Pups are exposed to livestock, agricultural practices and family life. PMs move seamlessly between being working and family dogs.

The Mastin del Pirineo (Pyrenean Mastiff) is
an ancient and rare breed of Livestock Guardian Dog originating in Spain. Known for strength, loyally and their protective but gentle nature. Our pups are exposed to Kunekune pigs, dwarf Nigerian goats, several species of fowl, horses, cats (barn and house) as well as our young daughter and her friends.

This fine beast turned one year old today.
Otto is growing into such a wonderful dog; intelligent, athletic, attentive and loving. He is 125-ish pounds of fun-tastic fluff. He has found his big boy bark and means business when he needs to. He is a joy to have as a part of our pack.

April is a busy month in terms of dog birthdays here on the farm. Today our wonderful Carlo (Wafi de Reis D’Aragon) turns seven years old. Our beautiful Ulyana Dei Magenifa turned seven on the twelfth and our sweet old lady legs, Nita Bella the DDB, turned 13 on the seventeenth.

To make things even more busy - in the best possible way - we are happy to announce that we’ve welcomed our “C” litter (Arcoiris de Hitt x Avellino of Pu’uwai O Pokela) into the world on the fourteenth!! Five perfect pups, two females and three males; Cosimo, Caramia, Carlisle, Calypso and Cato of Pu’uwai O Pokela. Mama Iris and babes are well. We are thrilled. 💖.
