Well hello there! I love this collection of eggs for so many reasons! First they were all laid by the same sweet hen who was hatched right here at Dancing Lawn Farm 💜. Secondly they show how beautifully lighting shows off their colors. The first picture is in bright daylight and the second is just a moment later when I stepped closer to let my own shadow fall on them. Which lighting do you think shows their “real” color better?

Can you guess what is going on here? I absolutely love details and one of the details I enjoy is adding my own “nesting box herbs” to our coops. I was very surprised to discover that you could buy “nesting box herbs” since I have always just added things that I enjoy that are readily accessible (and free). I save dried flower petals and teabags and even coffee grounds (along with herbs that have stayed at the back of the cabinet too long). Here is a collection of used teabags and used loose tea to make the coop just a little bit nicer 💚
