They will be for sale in about 8 weeks…they will have all their shorts, wormed and other vet recommened procedures.
We were expecting a small litter, 3 pups max, which is normal for these little breeds. But guess what? We got a huge surprise at the ultrasound on Monday - there are 8 of them! Since mama Gigit is so tiny, we had to go with a c-section to keep everyone safe.
The parents are Gigit, a less-than-10-pound Maltese, and Beau, a 4-pound-even (wet!) teacup Yorkie. They're both the cuddliest, most loyal companions you could ask for, and they hate being alone for too long (which is typical for Morkie puppies too!). Beau is brilliant - he even learned how to herd the chickens back to their coop like a miniature sheepdog! I just say "Beau, chickens!" and off he goes, circling them up and getting them home. Gigit, on the other hand, loves all humans with the fiercest love. When I plop down in my recliner, she turns herself into a living neck scarf and snuggles in. It's hilarious!
This is the first and only litter we're planning for Gigit. Since she had such a big bunch, we decided to get her spayed to keep her healthy and avoid any future risks.
Morkies are known for being playful, but they also pick up on their family's energy. Our house is pretty laid-back, so Gigit and Beau will play fetch for a while, chase each other around, and then crash for a cuddle and nap session. It's the perfect balance!
We've got a bunch of adorable puppy pictures up on our page, so come check them out if you're interested!
