Look at Opal go! Just two weeks ago, she would have completely lost control around barking, fence-fighting dogs. Now she’s working through it with focus and confidence! Still a work in progress, but I’m so proud of how far she’s come

Opal came to me for serious reactivity and resource guarding — she’d even put another dog in stitches.
Now, just one week into her Board & Train, she’s walking calmly next to other dogs and doing obedience around them with zero reaction.

That’s not luck. That’s structure, consistency, and clear communication.

This is what happens when we stop managing the problem and start addressing the root of it.
Real change is possible — even for the “tough cases.”

If you’re struggling with reactivity, aggression, or just feeling lost with your dog… I’ve got you.

Evaluations are open for new clients.

Dog training is like managing a bank account—but the currency is trust.Every reward you give your dog—a treat, praise, play—is a deposit into that account. E Dog training is like managing a bank account—but the currency is trust.

Every reward you give your dog—a treat, praise, play—is a deposit into that account. Every correction you make is a withdrawal. Just like with money, if you’re constantly withdrawing without making enough deposits, you’re going to end up in the red—and your relationship is going to feel the strain.

This idea was first shared with me by the person who got me into dog training years ago—Josh—and it’s stuck with me ever since. I use it with every dog I work with, and more importantly, I use it to help owners build better relationships with their dogs.

In this session with Opal, we’re working Place. You’ll see a few gentle corrections as we introduce the prong, but what really makes it work is all the deposits we’ve already made—trust, structure, clear communication.

When your dog trusts that you’re fair and consistent, those occasional withdrawals don’t damage the relationship—they strengthen it.

Dog training isn’t just about commands—it’s about the account you build together.

Odessa just wrapped up her 3-week Board & Train on Monday, and her transformation speaks for itself.

She came to me as a high-energy Boxer pup who needed guidance, structure, and a solid foundation in manners and obedience. While she was here, we also started working with her housemate Benson—an older dog with reactivity issues who had previously bitten Odessa so badly she needed stitches.

Here’s the part that blows me away:
Since going home, Odessa’s owners have been using the training videos I sent them to not only maintain her progress, but to work with Benson too. They’ve got both dogs doing Place and Down together—calm, controlled, and coexisting like a team.

They’ve told me more than once that these are completely different dogs now.

This is what’s possible when the training doesn’t stop when the dog goes home—and when the owners step up and keep the momentum going.

If you’re ready to change your dog’s life (and your own), let’s talk. Send me a message and we’ll find the right training path for your pup.

Meet Opal!
This sweet and incredibly smart Aussie mix just arrived for a 3-week Board & Train. She’s here to work through some serious behavior issues—specifically resource guarding and reactivity toward other dogs.

While she’s the most loving girl with people, she’s had some intense incidents with dogs in her home, including one that ended in an emergency vet visit and stitches. She even started a fight during her evaluation with me, so we’ve got our work cut out for us.

The good news? Opal is already showing us just how smart and capable she is. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be focused on building structure, impulse control, and trust so she can be a safe, confident girl in and out of the home.

If you’re struggling with reactivity, aggression, or serious behavior issues like this—don’t wait until it gets worse. Send me a message to learn more about our Board & Train programs and how we can help your dog get back on track!

Umka’s Progress – Putting in the Work!

Umka came to me with some reactivity, but what you’re seeing here is the result of consistency, clarity, and a whole lot of homework from his owner.

Each week, they’ve been applying everything we work on—and it’s paying off. Umka is more confident, more in control, and way more connected to his handler.

Progress like this doesn’t come from just showing up to sessions—it comes from follow-through at home, and this team is crushing it.

After 6+ years of reacting to other dogs due to a traumatic dog park attack, Benson came to us carrying a lot of insecurity and stress. His reactions weren’t aggression—they were fear.

Just TWO sessions later, he’s walking past dogs with no stress, laying calmly near them, and even turning his back—a huge sign of trust and comfort.

In this video, you’ll see Benson (the handsome pit/boxer mix) chilling with my personal dog, Koda, like it’s no big deal. No tension. No fear. Just peace.

is an understatement. Way to go, Benson.

Training changes lives.

No collar, no leash… just years of consistency, clear communication, and a solid relationship. Watching Koda cruise in a perfect heel like it’s no big deal is one of those little moments that reminds me why I love what I do. Training isn’t about control—it’s about connection. And let’s be honest… she’s got a little bit of that boss girl swagger too 😆

This is my personal dog—and every time we train, play, or just hang out, I’m reminded that real progress in training starts with the relationship.

It’s easy to get caught up in tools, techniques, and commands (and yes, those things matter!), but none of it sticks without trust, clarity, and connection. A dog that wants to work with you, that understands you, and feels safe and guided by you will always outshine a dog that’s just being told what to do.

This kind of relationship doesn’t happen overnight—it’s built through structure, communication, consistency, and yes, love. Training isn’t just about stopping bad behavior—it’s about building a bond that helps your dog feel calm, confident, and part of a team.

Whether I’m working with a client’s dog or my own, the goal is always the same: build a relationship where both ends of the leash understand and trust each other. That’s where the magic happens.

🚨 Meet Duke – A Special Pup Looking for a Second Chance! 🚨

Duke is a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix currently in a 3-week rehab Bootcamp after an unfortunate incident in his previous home. Shortly after being adopted, he was startled by a child entering the house and reacted with a bite. While this wasn’t his fault, his family has young children who are now afraid, and they’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him.

Duke is incredibly social, has great food and ball drive, and gets along well with other dogs. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working on his obedience, manners, and confidence through exposure and desensitization. His progress will be fully documented—including full training sessions on YouTube!

Here’s a look at today’s session, where we worked on his down command. He’s already making great progress!

Once he completes his program, he’ll be looking for the right home—one without children and with a commitment to continuing his training. If you’re interested in giving Duke the structured, loving home he deserves, stay tuned for updates!

From Reactive to Relaxed—Umka’s Transformation in Just Two Sessions!

When I first met Umka, his reactivity toward other dogs was overwhelming—barking, lunging, completely unable to stay calm on a leash. His owners had already tried multiple trainers and online programs, spending thousands with little success.

Fast forward to our second session, and Umka was sitting next to my dog, Koda, completely at ease—no barking, no lunging, just calm confidence. This wasn’t luck or a quick fix. It was the result of the right training approach, clear communication, and helping Umka understand that he can be in control of his emotions. Reactivity isn’t a life sentence. With the right guidance, real change is possible.
