Do "reactive dogs" have "reactive dog parents"? What are the unintended consequences of scolding, threatening, and bribing dogs "in the act"? When dog training decisions are driven by fear, embarrassment, and guilt the outcome is always going to be the opposite of what we really want. There IS a better solution.

Dogs that bark too much, jump on people and things uninvited, or get nippy and mouthy are often labeled as naughty, stubborn, and untrainable...
We tend to focus on how the dog's behavior affects US and so we fail to consider the dog's inner emotional state that drives those actions.
Unless we consider the source, the feeling behind the action, there's no amount of "dog training" that can positively impact a dog's behavior.
