We are working on a full deep clean on a large barn, and weโ€™ll be sharing the full before-and-afters soon. But this one section alone shows how much difference a true deep clean makes.

This kind of work isnโ€™t cosmetic. Itโ€™s about air quality, horse health, preserving materials, and taking pride in spaces that work hard every single day.

These jobs are big. Theyโ€™re physical. And theyโ€™re easy to put off.

Winter brings a unique set of challenges for horse care, especially when barns are closed up for colder weather.

Dust, moisture, and ammonia can build up quickly in winter stalls, which can irritate airways and contribute to respiratory issues. Damp or poorly maintained stalls can also increase the risk of skin and hoof problems if theyโ€™re not addressed consistently.

Keeping stalls clean, dry, and well managed is one of the simplest and most effective ways to support equine health through the winter months.

A few winter stall safety reminders:
โ€ข Remove soiled bedding regularly
โ€ข Use good quality shavings
โ€ข Keep stalls dry and well maintained
โ€ข Improve airflow on milder winter days like weโ€™re currently experiencing

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to wish our Fierlis family a peaceful and meaningful final day of the year.
