🐾 HOT POCKET IS BACK AT THE VET! 🐾

Our sweet boy Hot Pocket is back at the vet again today. 😭❤️‍🩹 After his recent seizures and a $380 vet bill, we’re now facing another $405 vet bill, bringing his veterinary expenses to $785! 💔

We are doing absolutely everything we can to make sure this sweet boy gets the medical attention, care, and love he deserves. Hot Pocket has already been through so much, and all we want is to see him healthy, happy, and feeling like himself again. 🥺🐱

As a rescue, these unexpected vet bills add up incredibly fast, especially when we have so many other little mouths depending on us every single day.

🐾💗 EVERYONE, MEET PEARL! 💗🐾

I had the pleasure of grooming sweet Pearl tonight, and after getting to know her a little, I wanted to share her story because I truly believe she deserves a home that understands exactly what she needs. 🥰

Pearl is a Havachon, born June 7, 2022. She is a sweet girl who LOVES kitties! 🐱❤️

Her current owners got her without realizing just how much maintenance her coat requires. This is absolutely NOT a post to blame, shame, or judge them. They are doing the right thing by recognizing that Pearl needs a home that can provide the time, energy, and grooming care she deserves.

Unfortunately, this is something that happens far too often. Sometimes breeders or pet stores focus on selling a puppy without fully explaining what life with that breed will actually look like. A cute, fluffy puppy can turn into a dog that requires frequent brushing, regular bathing, professional grooming, and consistent coat maintenance.

Pearl is one of those dogs who needs someone willing to stay on top of her grooming. She needs regular brushing at home and professional grooming on a consistent schedule to prevent matting and keep her comfortable and healthy. 🛁✂️🐶

And this is why I ALWAYS encourage people to DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING A DOG. ❤️

Ask yourself:

🐾 What breed fits my lifestyle?
🐾 What is this breed’s temperament?
🐾 How much grooming and coat maintenance will they need?
🐾 Can I afford regular grooming, veterinary care, food, and supplies?
🐾 Do I have the time to brush and work with my dog regularly?
🐾 Do I want a laid-back dog or one that needs a lot of attention and stimulation?
🐾 Am I prepared for the commitment for the dog’s ENTIRE life?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a lower-maintenance dog. There is also nothing wrong with realizing that a particular dog isn’t the right fit for your lifestyle. What matters is doing what is best for the animal. ❤️

🎃🐾 IT’S FEED THE CREW FRIDAY! 🐾🎃

Okay… I know I missed the FIRST Friday of October 🤦‍♀️😂 but it’s officially spooky season, so we’re just going to call this Spooky Feed the Crew Friday! 👻🖤

And speaking of spooky season… we have some black cats and kittens looking for their forever homes! 🐈‍⬛🖤 Unfortunately, black cats still get such a bad rap, especially this time of year, but did you know that in some parts of the world, black cats are actually considered SUPER lucky?! 🍀🐈‍⬛

These babies aren’t bad luck — they’re little bundles of love, purrs, cuddles, and personality just waiting for someone to give them a chance. ❤️

Right now, our crew is HUGE! 😳🐾

🥹💕 SISTERS GOT TO GO HOME!! 🏡🐾

One of those adoption stories that just makes my heart so incredibly happy. ❤️

A lovely family originally welcomed Goose and Tiki into their home, and they recently came back for Tiki’s sister too… and Sookie officially got adopted!! 🥹😭💕

These two sisters couldn’t be more opposite, but somehow they are both absolutely perfect in their own ways. 🥰

🐾 Tiki is still super tiny and acts like a little old lady. 😂 She’s quiet, sweet, and has always had her own little personality.

🐾 Sookie is her COMPLETE opposite! 😂 She is a crazy girl, a little chunky, LOVES giving face rubs and kiss kisses, and is the biggest cuddle bug. ❤️

I’m honestly SO happy Sookie finally found her family. Sometimes when kittens get a little bigger, they can get overlooked for the tiny babies, and that always breaks my heart because they deserve just as much love and a forever home. 💔

But Sookie’s story ended exactly how I hoped it would. 🥹❤️ Her family saw HER, loved her personality, and chose her.

And the fact that her sister gets to grow up knowing she’s loved too makes this even more special. 🥰🐾

Happy forever, sweet Sookie. You were worth the wait, baby girl. Go be your crazy, chunky, kiss-giving, cuddle-loving self! 🏡💕🐱
