We have a kennel name! Mommy thought and thought. Then she remembered the name of a family plantation near Ellabell, Georgia. The land was granted in the Colonial era through a king's grant to a member of the Byrd family. Glen Echo was built circa 1773 and is still standing. It is an early example of Plantation Plain style and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
