Litter updates! Strap in! It's a long one haha
Satin is so far the only one holding her babies hostage a bit longer lol she is HUGE. I think she missed the memo that she's supposed to be a "mini" rex. But I can't wait for these special babies! Satin holds a very special place in my heart 🥰❤️ her due date was today so hope there's babies by morning! Dad is Frolo so I'm probably gonna be getting a lootttttt of whites 😅 I didn't think that part through lol I was shooting for martens since genetically hes a broken blue otter 🤣
Olympic x Beans: no picture of daddy Beans because he belongs to a friend. Olympic did it yet again and popped out a whopping 10 babies, all alive, thriving, and healthy. She also surprised me with FOUR frosty babies! I was expecting a whole litter of just regular black chins (Dad is also a chin), but I knew Olympic had a chance of carrying non-extention and she confirmed it with those surprise frosty babies 🥰❤️
Chip x Spar: Chip is a very protective momma and does not enjoy when I mess with her babies 😅 she had 9 babies that are SUPER tiny. Her smallest baby, now 2 days old, is smaller than one of my newborn, few hours old, Netherland Dwarf babies. So I will be keeping a close eye on that baby and the other smaller ones as well to make sure they are eating.
Aster x Qbert: the litter I have been waiting for 🥹❤️ my baby boi is a daddy of 3 and Aster is being a very attentive momma, hardly leaving the box. These are gonna be some fat babies lol
Smoke x Elvis: 7 little babies. No photo of daddy Elvis because he went for a ride on the cull truck this past weekend. Unfortunately I had already bred Smoke when I found out Elvis had a split p***s so the future of this litter is very unknown right now.
Mabel x Judge: this litter of four is doing great! One of the broken chocolate does is still trying to fight off an eye infection that occurred while I was away on vacation. But of course my favorite in the litter is the buck that's not chocolate based 🤦🏼♀️ I don't need any more black gold Tipped steels 🤣
Cookie x KFC: the litter that gave me quite the surprise! 8 beautiful babies and discovering that Cookie, in fact, carries chin from farther back than her pedigree shows! We have a chocolate chin doe that is the ugly ducking of the litter. She is at the end stages of fighting off an eye infection in BOTH eyes on top of being the runt and half the size of her siblings. She might honestly stick around as a pet. We also have a chocolate silver tipped steel buck and a black silver tipped steel doe!
Criminal x Silver: color wise this is such a boring litter 🤣🤣 4 black gold tipped steels and 3 blue gold tipped steels for a total of 7. There were 10 originally but 3 died before 2 weeks old. But we have 5 does to 2 bucks so that's a win! I am hoping these babies grow up to be like their mom because their dad is the single most annoying animal on this planet 🙄
Sister x Soda: Sister had 6 total but only 3 living. All three were so teeny tiny but they are thriving and Sister is being the best first time mom. One of these little babies has a good set of vocal chords because when I picked it up for the first time, it let me know by screaming the entire time that it was not a fan of what was happening 🤣😅
Sunshine x Bones: 6 babies (originally 7). This litter is growing so fast! We did unfortunately lose the runt, a little black doe, but the rest are doing well! So happy to finally have some oranges! Thank you to T&MK Rabbitry for letting me get this litter and letting me borrow the doe AND the buck 🤣❤️
Rainy x Bones: 5 babies (originally 7 but 2 died while I was away). These babies are getting HUGE. They are definitely taking after their daddy size wise. Rainy has always been an aggressive protector of her babies and does not back down easily 😅 but she is one of the best moms I have and her babies eat better than I do. 3 bucks and 2 does and I may have already picked a favorite 😅😘
Cheese x George: lastly, my Cheesy girl had 5 perfect little babies for her first litter and not a single one is a peanut! 3 brokens and 2 solids and I think most are self based vs otter which is what I'm after! (Their daddy is a broken lilac otter). Cheese is doing an excellent job as a first time momma and these babies already have ✨️opinions✨️ on being handled and were very squeaky about it 😅🤣
