TMK's Pumpkin Spice and Barrett's Fanta had their litter yesterday. Unfortunately, with this being Pumpkin's first litter, she didn't understand what to do and only one of her five were alive. I fostered that one to Famous and so far it is doing okay.

On to more exciting news! HMR's Lab Rat and BC's Sampson had a litter of 3 this morning! This litter also proves that Lab Rat is genetically a black self. We were expecting her to be an otter. But the biggest surprise is that one of the babies is a little blue! A new variety in my Rexes. I love all three of these beautiful babies more than life itself 🥰🥹❤️ my Rexes hold a very special place in my heart

Yall I was wrong! Donald and Platinum have only ONE white baby in the litter! The other three I thought were whites are actually two Smoke pearl martens and a Smoke pearl and the last one is still the black otter 🥰❤️ so happy to have shaded babies in my Rex lines!

HMR's Donald Duck and 3SR's Platinum Record (3SSG2) Welcomed a litter of 5 this morning! I'm so beyond happy for Donald to be a daddy finally 🥹❤️ this cross is a bit different. Donald is a "standard" Rex while Platinum is a "mini" Rex. I say "mini" with quotes because girl is a hair shy of 6lbs 😅 but she's from all mini lines, just really missed out on that dwarf gene.... but the whole goal of this cross was to introduce the shaded gene into my Rex lines.... apparently they missed the memo because I got 4 whites and a black otter 🫣😵‍💫 we will have to try again 😅🤣

There will be one less cup of feed poured during chores. One more empty cage. One less soul. And one broken heart. The end of an era has come. 2017, a little black Mini Lop Buck hopped into my life thanks to Tristyn Marie. He was a tiny little thing and oh so cute. I kept the name he came with because it was so fitting for him. Prince.

From going to fair, to sireing his first and only litter (with only one surviving baby that still is alive today), to having a stroke and becoming infertile, to helping me get back into showing, to full retirement, to being the rabbitry mascot that everyone loves... he did so much and more.

Prince's reign came to an end. I knew it was coming soon buy I didn't want it to. I didn't want to believe it. But unfortunately time waits for no one, and it was his time. My heart is shattered and I don't know how long it will take to feel okay. To not cry every time I do chores, especially for his daughter, grandson, and great granddaughter. No more old man snuggles. No more smooshing his already smooshy face. No more.

I love you more than words can say, my sweet boy. This is the hardest loss I have ever had to face and it hurts so unimaginably much. Hop free from the pain and wait for me in the clouds ❤️❤️

Mini rex got some good comments but my blacks are still a bit young to be really competitive and my blues need better coats to be competitive.
AND. My little sable doe...... has a p***s. A split one. So HE is gonna be getting culled in a couple weeks 🫠😵‍💫🥴 so since I didn't have anything to replace that convention entry with, I of course bought a new bunny to use instead 😁 broken tort buck. He's a cutie. Won't be super competitive but hoping he's gonna be a good producer! He is the one pictured! KFF's KFF1G And I named his Apple Cider Sour, or Apple for short!

My mini lops did okay. One class win with HMR's Chips Ahoy for one of the shows out of 4 broken Sr does. Then some 2nds and 3rds, a DQ (ChUnKy), and some lower placings.

For Rex, I took Best and best opposite of Breed for 2 of the three shows and best of Breed for one of the shows (the girls got DQ'd for white spots).....I guess I'll mention that I was the only exhibitor for open Rex today but shhhhhhhh 🤣👌🏻🤫 I did get some really nice comments on a doe that I got back from a buyer recently. Haven't seen this doe in about a year and she did great! She took variety over my buck for the 2 shows she was placed in.

Well this is a new one for me. Litter of three lilac mini rex does. 1.5 weeks. This is the only one in the litter with this issue. Will be keeping my eye on her as she grows and if her eyes show any signs of causing her pain/discomfort, I will mercy cull.

But for now, HMR's Jail Bird will live a normal baby life with her sisters HMR's Penelope and HMR's Ambrosia 🥰

Mini Rex juniors! I have so many bucks that need new hutches and a couple does 🥴🫠😭 located in Grawn, MI. I know that ARBA National Convention is still a few months away but I am happy to hold, transport, and enter the rabbit at the buyers expense. I do plan on attending a couple more michigan shows before Convention; on end of September and one mid October so meets can be arranged for those shows as well. 🥰❤️ I will have more to post in the coming months before convention!
