Did you know you’re not the only one mourning your beloved pet that just crossed the rainbow bridge? Animals have a grieving process and need some extra love too. If you’re a multi animal household, you may have experienced this.
I remember when Magnum died….our Dino was completely withdrawn for 2 weeks. His appetite decreased, and he didn’t want to be engaged with. I was incredibly sad for him but aware and made sure the process was safe.
Yesterday we lost one of our alpacas, Rama. His new herd of friends had the opportunity to mourn him as a group. This is something livestock does as a whole.
It is something ✨truly ✨amazing to witness.
Remember to give those fur babies left behind some extra love. If you need some pointers, I can help with that.
‼️If at any time you feel your pet is becoming ill due to mourning, reach out to your vet and schedule an appointment to get them checked out.
Historically, wild animals have been known to express grief by letting out a yelp, wandering aimlessly, and eventually reorganizing their pack.
