We primarily focus on herding breeds, but we will never turn our back on any dog that needs help.

November is here, and it’s Turkey’s time to shine! 🦃

One of our amazing supporters shared Turkey’s post and wrote, “Who’s looking for a Thanksgiving Turkey? Here’s one that will stay for Christmas! And then some.” ❤️ We couldn’t agree more and thought it was just too cute for our handsome boy.

Turkey was dumped in Florence, Texas, where he loyally waited for his family to come back. He was scared, alone, and confused. Our friend Leticia stepped in and brought him to safety. A local rescue helped cover his vet care with the understanding that we would take Turkey in and find him a foster. And what a foster he found! They love this boy just as much as he loves them.

Turkey even answers to his favorite nicknames: Turkey Lurkey and Turk Smurk. He’s about two years old, fully vetted, and ready for his forever home.

We say it all the time, but Turkey really is the best dog. He’s loyal, gentle, and wants nothing more than to please his people. He’s a big boy, but so kind, and he loves playing with other dogs. He’s good with kids and doesn’t mind cats either. He can get excited and jump up, but he gets down when you ask. Turkey is also wonderfully easygoing—he’ll happily go along with whatever his people are doing and take it all in stride.

After everything he’s been through, Turkey deserves a home where he’ll be loved, cherished, and never left behind again. He’s ready to be someone’s best friend for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and every day after.

FOSTER FOUND! Thank you.

URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR JULIEN — BY TODAY!

We are desperately looking for a foster home for Julien. He needs to be moved into a new home TODAY, and we are running out of time. Despite sharing his story, we haven't been able to find anyone willing to step up.

Julien is a sweet boy who deserves a chance! Here's what you need to know about him:

🐾 Good with dogs and cats!
🐾 Fully vetted.
🐾 Has completed heartworm treatment and will need a follow-up test in February.
🐾 Available for adoption, but also desperately needs a foster home.
🐾 He may be selective with men. He does not get along with his current foster's husband, but has done fine with other temporary foster dads.

A couple of important things to know: Julien likes to make a dash for the door when it's open, so his foster will need to be mindful when coming and going. Keeping him leashed during door openings or having a secure, fenced yard is important.

WE NEED HELP NOW.

Can you foster Julien, even temporarily? You don't have to commit to adopting him to save him from losing his current placement. A temporary foster could give us the time we need to find his forever family.

Today Cricket is heading in for her spay, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, and heartworm prevention! The estimated total for all of her care is $203.

We got to see Junie today, and our hearts are so happy seeing how much healthier she looks.

Before coming to us, Junie spent her life outside in Gatesville and was repeatedly bred whenever she went into heat. She was neglected, and after she was shot in the leg, the bullet was pulled out at home instead of her being taken to a veterinarian. Because of that injury, she’ll always have trouble with her leg, but she’s still the sweetest girl and deserves to be loved and cared for.

Junie also came to us heartworm positive. She has completed her treatment, and we’re hopeful her February retest will show that she’s heartworm negative.

She had never been an inside dog before, but she’s adjusted so well. Seeing her healthy, safe, and surrounded by love now means everything to us. We’re so proud of you, Junie. You deserve all the good things.

🎉 Freya has been adopted! 🎉

We’re so happy for this sweet girl and her new family! Freya is such a lover, and we know she’ll bring them so much joy, cuddles, and happy memories. Thank you to everyone who helped her along the way. We’ll miss you, Freya, but we couldn’t be happier that you’ve found your forever home! ❤️

Apollo is officially adopted! 🩵

This sweet boy has found a family who loves him like crazy, and we couldn’t be happier for him. We’ll miss seeing his happy little face, but knowing he’s home and so loved makes saying goodbye a little easier.

Congratulations, Apollo! You deserve all the love and a lifetime of being someone’s very special boy. Thank you to your family for choosing him and giving him the forever home he deserves!

🎉 IVY IS OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 🎉

Our sweet girl Ivy is now fully vetted and ready to find the forever family she has been waiting for! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go home. 🐾

Ivy is three months old and full of all the fun, silly puppy energy you would expect! She is playful, curious, affectionate and loves being included in whatever is going on. She is great with other animals, good with children and would make a wonderful addition to a family prepared to give a puppy the time, patience, training and love she needs to grow into an amazing dog.

Ivy is the last puppy from her entire litter still waiting. All of her siblings are already in homes, while she has never even been placed with a foster-to-adopt family or given the attention she deserves. She watches everyone else get chosen, and somehow our beautiful girl is still waiting for someone to notice her.

We are asking for SERIOUS applicants only. No offense intended, but we are tired of spending our limited time answering the same questions, arranging conversations and getting excited for Ivy, only to be given an excuse or never hear back. Ivy is deserving of a committed, loving home, and finding that for her is our only goal.

Please make sure your entire household is ready for a puppy before applying. Puppies require consistency, training, patience and a lifelong commitment. Ivy deserves a family who will love her through every stage of her life and never give up on her.
