We know dogs are tough. That could mean your dog or cat has the early stages of Osteoarthritis (OA) and isn't showing you. Consider helping before they are showing you the discomfort.
Remember:
-Dogs 7 years and older are generally considered "senior".
-All ages, sizes, and breeds of dogs can have OA discomfort.
-Limping or stiffness after exercise, slow to rise, slower on walks, hesitating to jump and difficulty on stairs are signs of OA in cats and dogs.
-Cats often do not sharpen and remove the outer layers of their claws when they have OA. This results in "old cat nails", which is just a build up of the layers they couldn't remove via scratching and normal activity. They also might sleep more, jump up and off furniture less often, and be less likely to chase their favorite toy.
We have made wonderful strides in veterinary medicine over the years, especially in the area of pain management. Please give us a call to discuss the many options for Osteoarthritis or senior health improvement, including food, medications, routine testing and supplements.
