A Little Blast from the Past with Our Sweet Winston!

Here’s an absolutely adorable throwback to our beautiful Merle boy, Winston, who was hands down one of the most AMAZING fur daddies we’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing!

As you can see in these precious photos, Winston stayed right by his babies just as much as their mama did! He was like their own personal little daddy guard, always keeping a watchful eye over his precious family. And you guys, when mama needed a little break, Winston would even step in and help clean the babies! As they got a little older and started crawling and exploring, he’d sit there watching their every move, sometimes even gently bringing them back closer to mama. It was honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed and will forever be one of my favorite memories throughout all my years as a breeder.

So here’s a HUGE shout-out to our sweet Winston! I’d say Happy Father’s Day, but it’s clearly not Father’s Day you guys! 😂 I just happened to stumble across these precious photos while walking down memory lane today and couldn’t resist sharing them with you all.

And of course, because it’s only fair, let’s give a HUGE shout-out to our beautiful Willow, too! After all, these precious babies wouldn’t have been here without all her hard work through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and motherhood! And YES, she was an absolutely AMAZING mama, too!!

It’s honestly wild to think that both Winston and Willow are now spayed and neutered, and their days of welcoming little ones into the world are long behind them. But goodness, what a beautiful season of life that was! So many precious memories, so much love, and moments I’ll treasure forever.

Update: Mimi is OFFICIALLY RESERVED for her forever Family! 💞

Oh, sweet little Mimi! I just had to share this precious little video of me and Mimi our 10-week-old cream Pomeranian yesterday evening. After a long night of trick-or-treating (which went until 7 p.m. in our area, can y’all believe that?!), and with trick-or-treaters braving the rain and all, it was time to wind down with some puppy cuddles!

One of my absolute favorite things to do with little Mimi after she’s had her dinner and enjoyed a little play session is to scoop her up into my lap and give her some extra love until she completely crashes out. In this video, I’m gently massaging her tiny ears, rubbing her little belly, and working on some gentle handling and bite inhibition by helping her learn to interact softly with my fingers rather than using those sharp little puppy teeth!

These sweet little moments are not only wonderful for bonding, but they’re also great opportunities to help puppies become more comfortable with gentle touch and handling as they grow. And y’all, I think I’ve discovered Mimi’s FAVORITE thing in the whole wide world… EAR RUBS! Just look at how much this little sweetheart enjoys having those tiny ears massaged! I genuinely think it might be her favorite kind of attention!

Oh and as if this little cuddle session wasn’t precious enough, after I finished recording, Mimi and I settled in to watch a movie together, and wouldn’t you know it, this little lady curled right up on my shoulder! Oh, how I wish I’d caught that moment on camera because it was absolutely adorable!

Mimi is one of those puppies who just wants to be as close to her person as physically possible. She loves to cling to you, snuggle into you, and soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. She truly is the very definition of a little lap dog!

Whether you’re watching your favorite shows, enjoying a quiet evening, or simply relaxing on the couch, Mimi would be perfectly content being your tiny little cuddle companion.

These are the sweet, simple moments that make taking care of these precious babies so incredibly special. And oh, how I treasure every single one of them!

Update: Mimi is officially RESERVED for her forever family!

Little Miss Mimi may be tiny, but her safety and happiness mean EVERYTHING to us!

Sweet little Mimi is officially 10 weeks old and weighs just around 1.5 pounds! At the moment, we’re estimating her adult weight to be approximately 4 pounds! Now, as we always remind our families, we’re not God over here! No Breeder can give a 100% guarantee on a puppy size/weight as an adult. It is impossible for us to predict the future or guarantee a puppy’s exact adult weight.

However, many of us do our very best to provide educated estimates, and more often than not, we’re pretty darn good at it!

That said, the purpose of sharing this video isn’t simply to show everyone just how tiny Mimi is. It’s to help families truly understand her size and what caring for a puppy this small entails. Finding a wonderful home is important, but finding the RIGHT home for each individual puppy is even more important!

We aren’t here to make a quick sale simply because a puppy is tiny. We want to make sure our babies are a wonderful fit for their future families, and equally important, that their families are a wonderful fit for them! And let’s be real, it does us absolutely no good to misrepresent a puppy’s size.

Honesty, transparency, and realistic expectations are so important when helping families welcome a new little life into their homes.

Moreover, because Mimi is expected to remain so incredibly small, we take even greater precautions when considering her future home. At this size, something as simple as a little tumble off a couch or bed, or a young child accidentally dropping her, could result in serious injuries or, tragically, even death.

I certainly don’t share that to frighten anyone, but because awareness and education are SO important when it comes to caring for these precious little Pomeranians! Their tiny size comes with some very real responsibilities, and we believe every family deserves to understand those responsibilities before bringing one home.

At the end of the day, our goal has never been simply to place puppies in homes. It’s to place them in homes where they can be safe, cherished, understood, and loved for the rest of their lives. And sweet little Mimi deserves nothing less! ❤️

A Little Simon Update From His Forever Home in Minnesota!

Oh my goodness, you guys! We just had to share this absolutely precious video update of sweet little Simon enjoying life with his forever mama! These adorable little moments are enough to melt your heart! Just look at how happy this little man is!

We couldn’t be more excited for Simon because it truly seems like these two are a match made in heaven! Simon is his mama’s one and only fur baby, which means he gets to soak up ALL the love, cuddles, kisses, and attention his little heart could ever dream of! And the sweetest part? He’s not just her baby, he’s her little sidekick in everything she does! From cozy moments together to fun outdoor adventures! These two are making some of the most beautiful memories!

We have a feeling Simon is going to have such a fun, love-filled life with his forever mama, and we couldn’t have wished for anything sweeter for this precious boy! Isn’t it amazing how one tiny little puppy can bring so much happiness into someone’s life?

Y’all, I can’t believe it!! This adorable little 10-week-old sweetheart just did AMAZING on her very first walk, AND her very first time wearing a harness! And let me tell you guys, that’s a BIG deal!

Most puppies are not exactly fans of wearing a harness for the first time! While Miss Mimi did do a few little circles and even attempted to walk herself with her own leash (LOL!), she honestly did SO good considering this was her very first go at it! I am incredibly proud of this sweet little lady!

We have such high hopes for her! Turns out, she’s not just a cuddly little love bug who enjoys being held and showered with kisses, but she might just enjoy going on little walks, too! Of course, she still needs some guidance and practice, but goodness gracious, what a wonderful first experience! Also, right before we headed home from our walk, we ran into a couple of neighborhood kiddos who were playing with my daughter, and they absolutely FELL IN LOVE with Mimi! But honestly, you guys, I couldn’t tell you who was more smitten… the kiddos with Mimi or Mimi with the kiddos! They all seemed to be in absolute heaven together, and it was just the sweetest thing to witness! Moments like these are such precious little memories.

Update: Mimi is RESERVED FOR HER FOREVER HOME 💞

Good morning, you guys! Just thought I would share a quick little video of our precious Mimi! I know you all have gotten to see quite a few adorable photos of this little lady, and last night I even shared a video of us cuddling together, but y’all, let’s be real… it was so dark outside that you could barely make out that sweet little face! But boy, was that weather absolutely amazing! And to our surprise, we even woke up to a little sunshine peeking through this morning! What a blessing, especially considering how much rain we have coming our way!

But hey, it comes with the seasons, right, you guys?

Anyways, back to our little love bug, Mimi! Oh my goodness, you guys, this little sweetheart is just as precious as can be! She has such a gentle, easygoing temperament and is definitely more of a cuddle-and-kisses kind of girl than a long-walks-and-endless-playtime kind of girl! While she enjoys her little moments of play, I really don’t see this sweetheart being one who needs tons of exercise or constant activity.

What she WILL want is plenty of affection, snuggles, kisses, and opportunities to be right there with her favorite people!

That’s why we’ll be looking for an exceptionally safe, loving, and affectionate home for this precious little lady.

And can we also talk about how ADORABLE Miss Sophie is with Mimi?! Sophie is such a little sweetheart! She loves giving Mimi baths, staying close to her, and keeping her company. Although, I must admit, she does get a wee bit jealous when I’m holding Mimi instead of her! You can definitely tell Miss Sophie is accustomed to being the queen of the castle!

She’s lucky our Willow is so laid-back and doesn’t have a jealous bone in her body! Willow is actually the most independent of all our dogs. She’ll happily accept the cuddles and affection when they’re offered, but she’s certainly not one to demand them. She’s just so stinking easygoing!

Now, our Winston? Oh, you guys already KNOW how Winston is! That boy wants to be involved in absolutely everything! Whether I’m walking around the house, sitting down, or getting ready for bed, you can almost guarantee Winston is right there at my feet, beside me, or snuggled up in bed! Wherever I am, there’s Winston!

Oh, and one more thing I just HAVE to point out in this video is the absolutely adorable size difference between little Mimi and Miss Sophie! Both girls are beautiful in their own special ways, and both sizes are absolutely wonderful, but goodness gracious, what a difference! These two sweethearts are only ONE WEEK apart in age, yet you can already see just how much smaller Mimi is!

Miss Sophie is currently charting to be approximately seven pounds full-grown, while little Mimi is charting to be quite a bit smaller! Watching these two side by side really puts that size difference into perspective, and it’s just too cute!

What an absolutely beautiful fall night! Little Miss Mimi and I are soaking up every moment of this gorgeous evening together. The breeze is just perfect, the sound of the leaves rustling and blowing in the wind is so peaceful, and the temperature is that wonderful, cozy sweater weather we all love!

And the sky? Oh my goodness, it’s absolutely breathtaking, with the beautiful clouds drifting by and the stars twinkling through them! I couldn’t ask for a more perfect night, especially with such sweet company! Little Miss Mimi is being her usual affectionate, cuddly self, showering me with the sweetest little kisses and wrapping her tiny paws around my hands and fingers as though she never wants to let go. Every so often, she pauses to look around, taking in all the little sounds of the evening, from the leaves dancing in the breeze to the cars passing by.

It’s moments like these that remind me just how beautiful life’s simplest blessings truly are. A gorgeous fall evening, a peaceful breeze, and a precious little puppy snuggled up in my arms. What more could I ask for?

Here are a few adorable fall photos of our little cream Pomeranian, Mimi!

Is it just me, or does her gorgeous cream coloring pop perfectly against those beautiful fall leaves and trees?! She is seriously such a little doll! But let me tell y’all, as beautiful as she is on the outside, her personality is somehow even sweeter!

Finding the right home for Miss Mimi has been quite the emotional tug-of-war over here!

We’ve had more interest in this little lady than almost any of our other Pomeranians, yet she’s also been one of the hardest puppies for us to even consider letting go. There’s a BIG part of us that would love to keep her!

Now, I’ve always said Pomeranians are full of sugar, with just enough spice to keep life entertaining! But I’m convinced someone accidentally tipped the entire sugar bowl over on Mimi because this little girl is absolutely OVERFLOWING with sweetness!

That said, we have had several wonderful families interested in her, but unfortunately, the timing hasn’t worked out. And truthfully, we’re setting the bar pretty high when it comes to finding her forever family! With Mimi expected to mature around 5 pounds, we’re looking for a safe, loving, and incredibly affectionate home where she’ll receive the attention and companionship she deserves.

A little sweetheart like her deserves to be cherished, not spending most of her days alone. That and experience with tiny breeds is definitely preferred!

Mirror, mirror, on the wall… who’s the cutest little princess of them all?!

Sweet little Sophie (previously known as Piper) is only with me for a little bit longer. Which means these little moments are going to soon be gone for me. So y’all KNOW I couldn’t resist the opportunity for a good old-fashioned Halloween costume!

I mean, LOOK AT HER!! Does she not look absolutely PERFECT in this little Snow White costume?!

And let me tell you, I’ve nicknamed this little darling “Princess Pup,” so honestly, could there BE a more fitting costume?!

I was actually surprised at how well she tolerated the little bow, too! She didn’t fuss much at all! She was here for ALL of it! The outfit, the bow, the posing, and even that precious little head tilt! Just as cute as can be!!

Anyways, I simply HAD to share a little bit of this cuteness with you guys today!

Why do I send an automated response instead of answering messages directly? Well, let me explain!

First off, there’s a real human behind Blessed Little Paws. Between homeschooling, working, raising a teenage son, caring for our dogs, and everything else life throws our way, things can get a little chaotic over here. But there’s actually a much bigger reason behind my automated responses, and it all comes down to TWO very important steps: RESEARCH and a PHONE CALL!

1️⃣ DO YOUR RESEARCH! 🔎

Whether you’re considering working with me or ANY breeder, please research who you’re dealing with! Read reviews, look into their reputation, see what previous families have experienced, and visit their website. Our website answers nearly every question you could imagine, including information about our puppies, their parents, pricing, and our adoption process! And if you’re uncomfortable clicking a link someone sends you (which I completely understand with all the scammers nowadays!), you can always search for us independently.

That said, an informed puppy buyer is a safer puppy buyer!

2️⃣ PICK UP THAT PHONE! 📞

This step is nonnegotiable for us, and here’s why. A phone conversation helps me determine whether you’re a good fit for one of our puppies, whether we have the right puppy for your family, and whether everyone involved will be safe. Unfortunately, online safety goes BOTH ways. Puppy buyers need protection from scammers, but breeders also have to protect themselves, their dogs, and their families.

I’ve known breeders who have faced threats, and I’ve personally encountered some pretty intense misunderstandings and hostility over the years. Not everyone knows the person behind the screen or the love and work that go into what they do.

Because I work with puppies in our family home, I’m not just protecting my dogs. I’m protecting my children and my family, too. That’s also why many responsible breeders choose to meet families outside their homes. I’ve considered doing the same, but I truly cherish the personal connection of welcoming families and having those special meet-and-greets. As long as it’s safe, I’d love to continue that tradition!

So please understand, our automated message isn’t meant to be impersonal. It’s meant to encourage education, transparency, communication, and safety! We genuinely want to speak with you, which is exactly why a phone call is required before moving forward with any puppy placement. Messaging alone simply isn’t enough for our process.

And lastly, please excuse me if I seem a little frazzled in this video!

It’s been a particularly difficult few weeks, and I’ve experienced a significant personal loss, which is why I’ve been a little quieter than usual. But there is a season for everything, and I know this season shall pass, too. God is good, even through life’s difficult moments.
