As we begin preparing for Julieās 2nd Annual Faith Over Fear Barrel Race, I want to take a moment to remember the incredible woman behind this event.
Julie wasnāt just a barrel racer.. she was a mentor, a friend, and one of the most generous horsewomen you could ever meet. She believed in encouraging others, cheering for their success, and giving back to the people and community that supported her. Whether you were a seasoned competitor or just getting started, Julie always made you feel welcome, valued, and capable of more than you thought possible.
One thing Julie was passionate about was creating a local race that offered a great payout, quality prizes, and an experience riders could look forward to attending each year. She knew firsthand how much time, money, and heart people invest in their horses, and she wanted to give back in the best way she knew how.
This race is more than a competition.. itās a celebration of Julieās faith, generosity, and the lasting impact she had on so many lives.
