I love these candid photos of Amara taken by Farren Photography. 💖🐴

I don’t ask much of my horses before we “show”. I let Amara chill/relax and snack on grass in between classes. My thought is that she knows what she knows, and it’s better not to drill on things beforehand. I believe it helps them to have a better attitude in the show ring, and if my horses lack in something, it’s not the time to teach it right before stepping into arena. That puts too much pressure on them and on me.

- I’m just super super proud and blessed with Amara’s performance at the MYWY Mustang Madness grand finale. She’s one heck of a mustang and even more so for only being a yearling. 💖🐴

Thank you to my friends and family for coming out and supporting me. I’m also grateful for those who sent me positive and uplifting messages for those that couldn’t be there.

Yikes!! 😬 I don’t feel ready but will give it a go… Please come and cheer us on either Friday and/or Saturday at the Enumclaw Expo Center (home of the King County Fairgrounds). I’m in the Silver Spurs classes with Amara that I highlighted in yellow. 💛

I could use some help with setup for our freestyle on Saturday. I have some obstacles that need to be strategically placed in the arena. There’s a strict time allotment for setup and tear down. The freestyle class begins at noon on Saturday, and I believe there are 8 of us in the Silver Spurs class. Each contestant gets 3 minutes and 30 seconds for the freestyle.

We are almost at the end of our 2025 program year. We culminate with our outstanding showcasing event. We will be in Enumclaw again this year, at the King County Fairgrounds. We do believe we have our schedule set after a few changes the last few days. We hope to see you all there to come and support our horses and their amazing trainers.

Quick 20 minute play session woth Amara before it was completely dark. I love how she placed her hind feet back on the pedesral when initially I thought she was done. She is one smart cookie! Please excuse my baby talk. 👶🏻🤓 I was super proud of Amara. This was the FIRST time she’s stepped all 4 feet on this smaller pedestal/stump. 💖🐴I only planned to practice with Amara, but Jeb offered to do some tricks at liberty for treats. He actually got on the square pedestal to the right just out of the screen when I was working with Amara. Thought it would be fun to create a reel of Amara laying down & bowing. I’m grateful for the Sam VanFleet liberty clinic I attended to have given me the steps to teach Amara how to lay down for me. 💖🐴
