My mom passed away at home in East Lansing. She was a force of creativity, focus and love.
My only solace is that she is somewhere cackling with my bestie Michelle Rogers, who I lost last month, and Dame Maggie Smith, two of her favorite women.
I will miss her.
Hug the women in your life and tell them you love them. Make and do plans with them while you can.
