Keeping my own horse going has previously been incredibly difficult for me because of distance. M’Ystik’s barn is just 15 minutes away from home which is making it so much easier to accomplish our goals. Chili is with the amazing Julie Bell and he is perfectly fine, but very missed. He will hopefully be back at this barn WITH M’Ystik before the year is over. 🤞🏼

In total we rode 5 days this week. Each day has been better and better. I finally feel like I’m understanding my horse and connecting with her. Learning to trust her and vice versa. I’m ready for bed at earlier times and am waking up easier. I feel stronger and my body is outgrowing the initial soreness from the first couple rides. 👏🏼

My evenings are looking much more productive with my kids, horses, and dogs. Gotta love that natural serotonin.

Chili may be my favorite horse in the entire world, but M’Ystik was my first horse and I’m pretty damn proud of how far she has come. Many people didn’t believe in her but I sure did. The little rescue mare is a beast and she makes me feel alive!

We started tearing down old fence today and putting up the new fence which meant I had to leash walk dogs all day. Not only was I a bit overwhelmed, the dogs were so confused and frustrated to be in the backyard with a leash on.

I spent the evening preparing some pupsicle’s for tomorrow while we finish up the fence. I will be up late tonight so they can get all of their zoomies out and burn some energy.

Tomorrow will be a better day!

Side note. Do I know any crazy dog people who have a freezer just for dog enrichment? Because I’m pretty sure I’m there 😂
