Black widow spiders are known for their venomous bites. But their venom is only injected by the female whose bites are rarely fatal to humans. They are not aggressive and are solitary. Building messy, irregular webs in dark secluded areas. A key fact is that adult female black widows have poor eyesight but they can be identified by the red hourglass marking on the underside of their abdomen
The males are much smaller and less dangerous than the females as his fangs are unable to break through human skin! 🕷️🕷️🕸️
